Good point given the well under par performance, would have been nice to negate that game in had Leicester have but never mind. Need 7 wins now.

I don't care who DF plays in midfield on Monday but he must play Ampadu alongside Rodon.

Monday is big. Our top 2 rivals have big matches. And Hull will be a handful given our injury situation. Get the boys rested and in the film room these next couple of days.

We played better than Ipswich but they got the better result

Out of our hands again but only if Ipswich and Leicester take maximum points from their remaining games

It wasn't the best day for Ampadu to move into midfield. Looked a little leggy in the first half. Obviously an easier pace for him when he moved to the back. It's a bit of an issue what you do there now. Archie doesn't have a lot of experience in midfield. And if he did play there, no straight answer at right back. Pretty sure, given the limitations, Cooper will start again and Ampadu in midfield.

James far better as a sub for me.
All considered I dont think a point is terrible.
I’m also correct that two teams would catch and pass Leicester. That is far more important and it has happened. AS PREDICTED 😂
As you know I think Willy is maybe the classiest player at the club ... always going to be a big miss. I do think James and Byram would get better if they start but atm Firpo is better than Byram and Gnonto much better than James quality wise

Huge James fan though

One of the reasons why we conceded that first-half, two changes in the spine of our side caused havoc.

I'd have made the changes today and try to get back to our strongest 11 on Monday. But you have to be happy with a point from this game. So all decisions justified in the end I suppose.

Against the grain - Firpo looked extra class when he came on.

Helped that Watford were camping in their own half by then.

I thought he said 2-3 weeks on Gruev, Gnonto & Roberts. Might be wrong.

Knew gloating about Leicester would bite me in the ass.

Sigh.

Didn't turn up first half at all.

Farke needed changes sooner, slow subs.

Just annoying

Any slip up now is bad

Better when subs came on but needed to be earlier.

Apart from Joseph, I thought the subs were made at the right time - we were dominating the game beforehand without going for the jugular.

Why the sentimentality, starting Cooper.

Two of our defensive positions at the back & in the middle of the park caused mayhem.

I just knew breaking up the Ampadu/Rodon combination would disrupt our rhythm.

The problem wasn’t Cooper first half, it was all disjointed. Moving Amps into Midfield did not work.
Geo is not fit and Kamara looked a yard off the pace. Hence we had no control in the middle.

Dennis going off helped as he was their fulcrum from an attacking sense.

I would like to see more of Joseph.

A point considering how poor we were in the first half is not a disaster.

A decent result in my opinion. And I thought we actually found some energy in the 2nd half. We could have stolen a win with a bit more luck. But we also could’ve lost. So I’ll happily take the point away from home!
