Leeds Premier League survival hopes lay in tatters after being taken apart by Chelsea. It was far from a convincing performance by Thomas Tuchel's men, but Leeds made it easy for them, by making life difficult for themselves. There was very little for the Elland Road faithful to get excited about. Leeds were constantly exposed at the back, missing up front, and the less said about the midfield, the better, yet they refuse to give up on their idols, even though the signs show the players already have.

There was more than a touch of Déjà Vu, after Mason Mount had calmed the visitors nerves, putting them ahead on four minutes, followed twenty minutes later by another red card. James' two footed assault on Mateo Kovacic was right in front of the referee. Anthony Taylor had little option but to prematurely bring Dan James' season to an end.

The Blues doubled their advantage ten minutes into the second half, with Nathan Mount turning provider this time. Christian Pulisic's well-placed strike from the edge of the area, left Meslier rooted to the spot. Lakaku added a third, seven minutes from time. Surrounded by four defenders, the Belgium International was still able to twist and turn, and finally unleash a thunderbolt into the roof of the net.

It was a sad and desperate performance by Jesse Marsch's men. The visitors rarely had to step out of second gear, whilst Leeds were unable to muster a single shot on target.

Breaking news. I just saw my mate the skip man. He delivers skips funnily enough. Massive Chelsea fan with a great big flag in his cab. I said that’s effing unkind of you to trash us last night. He said even that useless Lukaku scored.
But then he said you are definitely staying up. Hoorah for skip man, he is never ever wrong. Mind you he did deliver a skip to the wrong house for me once. Oh well.

:) I don’t understand it either tbh Kenny. Sometimes it truly represents what you’ve seen, others not so much. I think basically we stood out the way and said “after you Claude” and that doesn’t get a high XG. Wish some bugger would stand out the way for us although we’d probably miss.
“Here Rodrigo, yes you, kick it in the bag. The net Rodders, oh he’s missed. Knobhead”.

Our best game in the last 3 was Citeh where Infogol expected 1-3. Make of it what you will. Sometimes it’s spot on and sometimes it needs some explaining/understanding

Kennyb41 wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 2:30 pm Are you ok with Yank ? I'll drop it if not, i don't even know if it's offensive or not, i've just heard it in movies for the best part ?

Big Jesse ?
Depends on the context Kenneth. The word Yank is not offensive to me in and of itself. It's widely used in your country and others to refer to Americans. YOU tend to use it as a pejorative. So just to be safe try substituting the word "w**ker" instead. That's what they do on the Ted Lasso show....We Americans think it's funny.

Oh, and "Big Jesse" is fine... ;-)
