Leeds and Villa gave a new meaning to the term - bore draw, during an excruciating 90 minutes of football at Elland Road. It takes a lot to silence a packed out Elland Road, but somehow they managed it, surely evidencing why both teams find themselves at the wrong end of the table.

Villa dominated the statistics (apart from fouls), but Leeds for their credit held firm, fortifying their defence when reduced to 10 men, early in the second half. Marsch's men only managed to muster a single shot on target to Villa's seven. Had the visitors been more clinical in front of goal, they could have had a hatful, yet 19 further opportunities went astray.

The Athletic's Phil Hay ripped into referee Stuart Attwell after the game, likening the fluency of his performance to the M25 in rush hour. The man in black dished out 35 fouls, 5 bookings and an early bath for Sinisterra during 90 minutes of mind-numbing hell; but the truth is Leeds don't help themselves. Many of the fouls committed were avoidable but Sinisterra's red was avoidable. It shows a complete and utter disregard for discipline, especially when you're on a booking already.

Following the final whistle, the camera concentrated on Jesse Marsch - a relieved man; though not sure his allayed demeanour was for rescuing a point, or the spectacle was over.

Going back to our ill discipline against Villa. It did cost us but the bit I do applaude is the rough stuff dished out to that horrible excuse for a human being; McGinn. This was I'm sure, retribution for his physical assault on a Year 11 schoolboy; Archie Gray, in pre-season. It was a friendly ffs!

Good on 'em for sticking up for Archie.

I compared our play to championship football, frantic, panicky with plenty of head tennis, hoof, erratic passing & precious little creativity. We don't even come close to Citeh's class & style.
That Citeh reference was in a different context - someone was saying it was depressing how far we were away from City's quality. My point was that comparisons are futile. We live in a different universe.

They loved wasting time, didn't they? Christ. Shameful from Gerrard and his lads.

Ahh, got ya now

Nah, he just needed the spine of his team available for it to be a two off.
