Like was saying on another thread. Faith in the old guard (Forshaw in this case) is holding back some of the youngsters

Yep. Cooper, Ayling, Forshaw and Klich should all be gone in the summer. Time to move on.

That was how O'Leary started his evolution. Getting rid of the dead wood and promoting a few of the youngsters.

There's too much pressure now and you're only one game away from the sack. So managers will always favour experience over giving young players a chance.

Well, Radz said 17th is good enough. So not much pressure on Jesse

It's a tricky mix working the old generation out and the new generation in. Club didn't want to lose too much in the dressing room in one summer. And letting 2 or 3 more go in favour of youth would leave us drastically short in depth. But I would rather see a statement like Gelhardt or Gnonto starting and Rodrigo on the bench. Summerville getting a start (if only for 45) when Harrison has a dip in form. Greenwood maybe occasionally for Roca against a negative bottom half team.

Agreed. The club has changed its ethos in the last couple of years. We were always a club who produced our own and gave them a chance, now we don't even have any academy products in the match day squad.

Cresswell 90 mins for Milkwank 1-0 loss to the dog botherers and yellow carded, Shack also 90 mins
Roberts off injured after 27 mins in QPR 2-0 defeat to Birmingham
Poveda benchwarms for 90 mins for Blackpool in 2-1 win over Coventry
Bate with 2 assists for Oxford in 3-1 win v Bolton
Jenkins still yet to play a second in the league for Salford

Good to see Lewis Bate being more involved now at Oxford. A good loan for him to learn and come back to replace Forshaw next season. Gyabi could do with joining him in League One to learn all about real football and experienced pros, as he has struggled so far v Wolves and the EFL trophy.

Not exactly inspiring reading really you would hope roberts, Shackleton and poveda 3regulars through our championship days would be doing a bit better albeit roberts been hampered by injuries. - looks like all will be coming back

Youngsters not great either, cresswell seems to struggle with lapses in concentration and is accident prone and we already have a few of those

No surprise with Dan James suspect he is done as a top level footballer at least in the short term

Roberts and Poveda are done here. I assume Millwank won't take up the permanent option with Shack. Jenkins should go elsewhere.

I still think we should've kept Shack, it was completely the wrong move for him to join a hoofball club when he is a technical player.

Cresswell and Bate are doing well and learning about men's football.

Gyabi, Hjelde, Perkins and Joseph should be looking for January loans, they are well above u21 level.

Agree with SG90 that Shackleton would have been better staying at Leeds this season. Seems a natural alternative to the energetic Adams.

Cresswell is learning his trade and have every confidence he'll come back more ready to compete for a first team place.

Disagree that Dan James is done. If we had a different Leeds manager, he'd still be playing.

Poveda and Roberts pretty much showing their level as championship players or poor mans bottom of the premier league players

Players like Jenkins and McKinstry (both had promise) showing that they're not good enough

Lewis Bate I still have hope for. Great skill, just needs to develop physically and mentally

Leo Hjelde completed 90 minutes as Rotherham United impressively held Championship promotion chasers Sheffield United to a goalless draw at the New York Stadium.

Lewis Bate played the full 90 minutes in Oxford United's 1-0 defeat against Shrewsbury Town at the Kassam Stadium. The U's have lost all four of their League One games since their memorable 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town in January..

Cody Drameh was replaced after 62 minutes on his second start for Luton Town. The right-back received a booking in the 42nd minute, as the Hatters prevailed 1-0 over Stoke City at Kelinworth Road.

Left back eh. Perhaps he should have stayed. Always rated him
