Leicester City v Leeds Utd
Thursday 20th October@20:15 King Power Stadium

Leeds go in search for their first victory in almost two months against fellow strugglers Leicester City on Thursday evening. Although only a quarter of the way through the season, both sides find themselves at the wrong end of the table, having struggled for consistency, clean sheets and goal scoring opportunities.

Having drawn against Crystal Palace, then thrashing Nottingham Forest 4-0, Brendan Rodgers side were mounting a mini revival, but came crashing back down to Earth at the weekend after losing at Bournemouth, leaving them 19th in the table, four points below Leeds.

They will be hoping that Harvey Barnes can extend his scoring streak to six games when playing against the Whites but it won't be easy, as they have a number of key players ruled out. Pereira (Achilles), Ndidi (Thigh), Maddison (suspension), Evans (Calf) and Bertrand (knee) will all be miss Thursday's crunch encounter.

Jesse Marsch is expected to make just one change from the team that lost to Arsenal. Rodrigo is expected to drop to the bench in favour of Patrick Bamford. Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood (who is suspended anyway) will both miss Tuesday evening's U21 trip to Bolton in preparation for the outing to the King Power Stadium.

Very pleased to see that Maddison is suspended. Just need to keep that annoying tosser Barnes quiet. That fucker always scores against us.

I was at Leicester & our home game when he scored against us last season.

We didn't deserve to lose at Leicester, Schmeichel saved them too, he's not there anymore thankfully.

Dangerous to expect a win vs Leicester at any time but we know the omens are never good for us when we play teams struggling for form and a manager on the edge - add this to how we usually play following a good performance and we have a recipe for disaster.

I do still expect a win though.

For me it is the single biggest reason why Leicester ar struggling this season. Lots of games where he kept them in it and then someone like Vardy would nick Leicester an undeserved win.

The team that started the second half needs to to start on thurs I reckon.

Momentum is important.

Have this down as a 2-2 draw. Nagging feeling Barnes will score against us, and their keeper have a worldy (though at least it's not Schmeical who always performed against us). Hopefully Leicester look to play, like Arsenal and Chelsea, as that should suit us.

Same team as that which started second half against Arsenal. 60-70 mins for Bamford before Gelhardt who really needs a good 20 minutes minimum.

A Southampton win a Villa draw and we lose on Thursday and we're back in the bottom 3, it's soul destroying being Leeds fan 🙁

Certainly hoping for a win here. We need it and should get it. But we're never an easy team to call. no matter who the opposition or what injuries they have.

As mentioned, I see Bamford for Rodrigo being the only change. Probably a 60/30 split.

No I wouldn't as we all know how consistent the majority of our team are plus there are always daft mistakes in certain individuals.
