I said the same at the start of the season. But figured he'd sell one (there was talk of James going to Italy) and try to convert the other or use him as a Plan B.

Interestingly Gnonto was signed as a 10. But he's played left wing for the reserves. Today, he came on and barely left the touchline. Looks like Jesse will stay play wingers as a Plan B.

Trying to adapt a bit to what he has potentially.

Way I see it though is a bit like Liverpool who are also hugely Influenced by Rangnick.

Liverpool played a 4-3-3 for years with theoretically 2 wingers aside a striker.

But Mane and Salah didn't operate like wingers and usually ended up narrow whereas TAA and Robertson provided the width.

We are similar imo.

In am ideal world our forward line would be narrow all the time.

This stood out to me at the final whistle, it was quite comforting to see it, he still has them and that means a lot and speaks a lot.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looked like it was the new signings that were giving JM hugs, Adams, Roca and RK. I didn't see any of other players but that may have just been the cameras going elsewhere, anyone who was there able to expand on it?

It's easy to see Liverpools problems, it's all the midfield, they totally aren't playing or gelling at all which puts immense pressure on the defence with the way he wants to play.

You see even Klopp wants to persist with his favourite formation of 4-3-3 for when his favoured players come back, Keita for one.

I also didn't think Mane would see them drop off like they have but he has.

It showed a couple of seasons back when Liverpool had a few injuries and they were mid table before a late run of form saw them claw their way back into the top4. Liverpool knew how good a manager they had and kept faith. Klopp had faith in his system and knew when his better players got fit they would be okay, and they were.

We'll never know if that same thing would have happened here and we'd have been fine, with Bielsa's system, when players got back. Given how well the system had worked prior to injuries my guess would have been that it would have worked again.

Liverpool owners failed to invest too, relying on an excellent manager to keep defying the odds.

Now't wrong with that imo, those new signings haven't let us down, it's the old boys Bamford, Cooper & Harrison who were making mistakes all over the park that could have lost that game for us with their lack of technique & complacency,

Must start Rodrigo because his GPM is very good this season, better than most. He's currently the #4 striker in the division with 6 goals in 8 games of game time... He'd also be my captain

And me too, great touch & so composed.

Always thought this bulky lad was up to playing in the prem as was the case with Kristensen, I watched how Gnonto has performed at international level.

Leaving Summerville on the park for 90+ minutes & an inspirational substitution was pleasing to the eye as opposed to bringing on Klich.

Jack takes one touch too many like Bamford trying to get the ball on his best foot. Defensively he can be a nightmare too, he lost the ball just outside our box trying to be too clever rather than just laying the ball off, Meslier saved his bacon as he did with Cooper's calamity jane error. There's two goals we'd usually concede as the majority of the goals against us are self-inflicted, watch the incidents again, they were horrible!
We can do better with all three, they are not our future, that is if we have one at this level.

You can't blame Jesse for the blunders certain players make, unfortunately we have to stick with them as the alternatives are not great apart from Sinisterra for Harrison.

If we had kept Bielsa and survived relegation, I wonder what sort of team we would have now? Certainly not Aaronson, Adams and Kristensen because they were players Marsch specifically wanted as he'd worked with them before.
