Good to have you and the majority of the rest of our Americanoes still with us. Hopefully there will be a lot more unity on this forum, for a while anyway.

It took a lot of people, including the powers that be at ER, a long time to see that Marsch wasn't good enough. Hopefully the next manager will be a significant upgrade and we can all get behind him rather than worrying from day 1 that he is not up to the job.

The writing was on the wall, investment in the squad and still the same excuses on how we need to be more productive. Jesse can not have any complaints on how the Leeds board have backed his vision. In the end its the results that make or break a manager at this level. He only has himself to blame

Bielsa became overweight. Jesse has gone the opposite way, looking gaunt & ten years older within twelve months.

I suspect that the Italian restaurant close to his flat above the sweet shop in Wetherby had a lot to do with that..Apparently he frequented it most evenings...

I’m not a permanent resident there but from what I’ve seen, it’s quite a quaint little town, a few nice pubs and what have you but doesn’t have the tourist attractions of Woodbridge and the like

It was more a 'f*ck you' type celebration rather than a proper celebration. A bit like how he had a go at fans after the Bournemouth win.

It was a subdued celebration for me - not that i wanted us to go down but because I felt it was just kicking the can down the road and that we'd really struggle this season and that at some point in the season a forum poster, who's name begins with I, will make a suggestion that I am a mind reader.

And how many managers have there been since Revie ? It's never exactly been a stable club in terms of manager longevity...I think Wilko has been the only manager to have lasted more than 5 seasons since Revie.

Did Arsenal pay George Graham 400,000 that he didn’t report on his taxes? I heard my childhood hero, Rodney Marsh, bring this up this morning. Of course, he was defending City with a mild bit of whataboutism. For the record, he was my hero for his service to the Tampa Bay Rowdies. As a child I was wholly unaware of his earlier career.

Yup, found MOT sometime in 2021 when Bielsa was in charge. That was interesting to say the least....

Honestly, I joined the forum because some of the comments about JM were pissing me off. The guy hadn't even had a chance yet. So I probably wanted to try and keep the criticism fair. Instead of Yank this and Yank that. And I will say that most of the criticisms were about football. Especially this season. And it was fair game. I was particularly surprised when I called for him to be sacked after the Palace match and a bunch of you talked me off the ledge. Everyone could see it wasn't really working at that time. But people here were mostly patient.

Evans wasn't sacked, his contract just ended and we didn't renew it.

Joined in 2014 because there was no other way to talk about the club. Nobody in my circle of acquaintances knew anything about LUFC.

I was one of those counseling patience. I thought something was building with the new signings and the quality of play.

I was wrong, obviously. What really kicked it over the edge for me was the lackluster play in the second half yesterday. A team fighting for its life should have come out with more fire. I was pretty sure watching that that Jesse had lost the locker room.
