Re: Manchester Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Skubala has hinted at a few changes to the line up / formation so it will be interesting to see what they do. It may well be they go with three CB's and two wing backs. Makes sense considering who we're playing and where.
Something like what Ian has put in his post.

I bet the players sort themselves out and play a blinder. (Rodrigo as the injured orchestrator in chief)
The only times we have looked decent this season is when we have been 2-0 down with 15 mins to go and we chase like hell. At this point jesse’zzz tactics went out of the window

I was hoping some of the senior players would do this when Marsch was telling them what to do.John in Louisiana wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 2:04 am I think the starting eleven ought to get together before the game and decide on a strategy and ignore whatever the triumvirate have to say. Casemiro

So that has to be GOOD.

3 at the back makes sense. But I doubt this is a formation that has been used on the training ground. Playing 3 at the back is simple on paper but difficult to get right on the pitch. It takes a lot of understanding between the CB’s to get it right.

All what you have said - followed by now go out there and prove me wrong. Those were the days when managers, red faced screaming whilst spitting involuntarily at the team provoked a reaction that Ghandi’s words are unable to reach.

Expecting to see the players demonstrating a bit more freedom in attack tonight, hard for the temporary coaches to fully dictate the game plan without players input. Still hard to call the result, expect to get beat but could be close. depends on rashford and Fernandes

Hoping we'll pick points up over these 2 games,
Rule 1: DFM to act as sweeper when rashford skips past our defenders.
Rule 2: Do NOT, repeat, NOT, touch fernandive anywhere in own half, he'll be down faster than a whores drawers and conning the ref everytime.
On the above pont, whoever our captain is, simply MUST run at the ref like cry baby abpve does to gain an advantage, no point simply accepting decisions, do NOT let fernandive run the game.

Time for the players to step up.
There’s been rumours of the players wanting to change things so here’s their chance to have at least a modicum of input.
To pick one example, Gnonto and Harrison saying in no uncertain terms,” don’t play us together in the same ten foot square area”
Two wingers almost falling over each other was crazy and pretty symptomatic of Marsch’s rubbish tactics.

If I were Adams, Cooper or whoever I’d be standing in front of those players tonight, saying this is a chance for us to prove we weren’t the problem, the previous manager/tactics were the problem.

I'm really curious about this game. Its rare I'm waiting for a sporting event of personal interest with no idea what's going to happen. Then, I got really excited. I'm home today! I can watch the game! But, I have to take my daughter to an appointment which I completely forgot about. That means I have to record the game and sequester myself this evening. My wife is of the mistaken belief that I watch too much football so I have to be ready to switch to porn if she enters the room. Might as well take advantage of the situation. If it is a terrible performance and Man U wins handily, could someone just send me a DM? It could be short. Just like, not worth your time. Only do this if its really bad. Like one of those games where most sane people would realize that their time would have been better spent reading all those software user agreements that we all assume don't take away most of our children if we break the agreement in some inexplicable way. I bet the user agreement for TeamViewer sucks.

I've got a feeling they are gonna, i'm hoping they take it among themselves, we get points against scum EFC and Soton and we somehow end up winging it to survival and Orta gets lucky again till the Vallecano guy comes in the summer.VinnysTattoo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 2:53 pm Time for the players to step up.

Maybe we surprise the scum tonight. No manager, no expectation of a result and no pressure on the caretaker team. Could go horribly wrong, but feels like one of those free hits where the team, with the Marsch tactically shambolic shackles off, might just go for it and surprise us all. Or we'll get humped!!

We won't play them at a better time than now with their injuries and players out.lufc1304 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 4:28 pm Maybe we surprise the scum tonight.
