OK Pady's control let him down and a dive was it for the Summerville chance meant he wasn't there for the rebound.... but you need a 9 on the pitch to keep defences honest.

I think Greenwood comes on for his quality of set play deliveries. Our corners seemed much more dangerous when he took them. Since Raph left we don't seem to have a decent free kicker.

A decent manager should be able to make something out of this lot to survive, it's a 14th place team in good hands.
Relegation in others.

If we play to the standard we have in the last two games we should be able to beat the Everton and Southampton of this world and climb out of trouble. Problem is up till now we have under performed against those lower placed teams.

Spot on. The Forest performance was a killer. It will be interesting to see how the new coaches approach the Everton game. We will be expected to be on the front foot and break Everton down.. The last couple of games i have liked the way we have allowed mu the ball to play across the back and just closed of the space in front of them. Against Everton it will likely be the other way around.

You never say never with Paddy .... but he was our best bet to leave another player uncovered. Paddy has to be defended and he's sharper this season, despite the mis-fires today

It's the hope that kills you . We promise so much but deliver so little. Can't keep blaming bad luck.weasel wrote: That's the key. We definitely look more like a football side again now and it gives me hopes really that we can take points from most teams now, for sure we will lose a few but should win a fair few, hopefully enough.

Most of me waants to see what Skubala can do against lesser opposition. But I suspect we'll have a new manager in place and we're back to square one...

We probably have more chance of beating Everton than Southamptonparkthebus.Jimang wrote:If we play to the standard we have in the last two games we should be able to beat the Everton and Southampton of this world and climb out of trouble. So, I am on a week holiday in Lanzarote, went to a bar to watch the game surrounded by Man U fans claiming we dive too much etc, didn't like it when I suggested Fernández was the top diver in the league !! Thought we were going to get at least a draw....just sickening when they scored....really sickening.....listening to their celebrations.....decided I won't watch us in bars again

Absolutely. Just falling a tad short but that's huge in this league. More likely relying on lady luck now.SG90 wrote: At this point it's not bad luck, it's not having the quality for this league.

It means we created the best chances & failed as per
Up in Chester and the local American diner place Hickory’s is all kitted out in the Stars & Stripes.
Not for me though. Not my thing tbh

Re: Leeds Utd v Manchester Utd Match Thread
Today reminded me of 1990's Leeds v Scum games. They were always a class above us. But we had a game plan and knew how to rattle them, defend, and create chances.
This Scum is not as good as 1990's Scum. And this Leeds is not as good as 1990's Leeds. But the gulf between the clubs was so much closer back then. This season we're miles away in terms of points and in the table. But we looked a lot closer to them than we have at any time this past week.
Verdict: One man Skubela has showed what you can do with proper tactics and application. And that the last joker in charge was absolutley clueless. Let's remember, Scoobs has no 1st team management experience. But he set up so much better, with virtually no time to prepare, than the someone who was supposed to be the new special one.
I supported Marsch wholeheartedly. Didn't really call for the sack until Forest. Seeing what one man can do in the space of a week has really exposed Marsch to be a fraud.
