35 would've been fine last year with a good GD, we ended up needing 36 in the end.

Just back from the game, and what an awful game it was. Very poor quality from both sides.

Still, 3 points is all that mattered today and we got them 👍

Might work when we got to the Eitahad double decker bus.
Mckennie sagging jowls might block a few shots.

He was overweight when he arrived at Juve and it looks like he has discovered the Yorkshire Puddings in Leeds.
Let's imagine that Irish Ian is now picking the team. But you can't pick McKennie. And you don't want to anyway because he's too fat, too slow, and definitely not creative enough. Probably only got signed because he's American and the 49ers want to sell shirts in Silicon Valley. So what's the selection Skipper? What's the shape? And how are we going to be creative and score goals while continuing to concede only 1.2 goals per game like we have over the last 5 matches. Go ahead....impress me. :roflmao:

We lack a creative midfielder

It's been a problem for a long time and one of the downsides of our recruitment prioritising running stats over offensive numbers for our attacking players

It definitely needs addressing.

We don't really have that type of player in the squad so not sure what Gracia can do?

Maybe work on quick passing triangles in the offensive areas ?

Try Gnonto there ?

Tell you what Paul use the search feature and find one post if mine that is in any way anti American and then post it up here.

Just one.

You won't be able to do please let's stick to the football and leave the flag waving / burning to others.

Over to you.

I'm waiting.

Typical bottom of the table game you simply can’t afford to lose. But yes it was dire in the great scheme of things.

I'm not accusing you of anti-Americanism. Just being sarcastic and citing one of the many things written on this message board about McKennie. So back to you Ian. What's your selection? Or are you just here for the fat shaming? ;-)

You gotta win ugly down there. None of the sides around us are playing great football, but they're grinding out wins.

Sitting in Leeds Bradford airport post game. Early start today to get to the game initially.
First time in Elland Rd since we got promoted.
Key takeaways
- most importantly we got 3 points
- the game was awful
- I had a great day out
- Burger on the way

Na I'm not having that Paul.
You quoted me and cited the anti American agenda tripe that has circulated this past year.
That connects me to it.
So apologise or get off the pot.

There's a really good player there Paul in McKennie, oh how i wish he had Tylers engine.

On his potential ability and going off todays game, i've got him at 80% premier league fit, he's fcking intelligent, got a lovely touch about him, reads the play well and has a great all round game, but fck me let's get this guy firing on all cylinders coz he's gonna be great for us.

I hope you agree with me on this or i hope you can fill me in with all you know about him, coz i know nothing and i'm relying on you about his past.

If he was a car engine he'd need fine tuning, i watched him all game today, never took my eyes off him and he's either one lazy git that watches someone like Tyler do more grafting, or (and this is what i think it is) he's not fully fit and is slightly overweight, coz if he gets in the gym or gets Bertified fitness wise- we've got one hell of a player that could wreak havoc as a box to box midfielder and alongside Tyler could be formidable.

I also thought Brendan was good today and really out to prove a point to us fans, himself, and the new gaffer, all 3 can be great for us if they maximise their potential - Tylers not far off, Brendan needs some work with some weights for upper body strength, and Weston needs to put some hours in on the track, and we'll be fcking AWESOME, i'm SUPER EXCITED.

Well done Javi, there was a lot of influence on show from him as well today which is impressive in such a short time, i cn't believe he did every single thing i was hoping he'd do with the subs, I wanted Gnonto off coz he was starting to look a little spent and they'd concentrated on taking him out of the game and the Summerville introduction i thought was perfect and timed well as well, then i thought get Roca on and do exactly what he did with Pat and Rutter.

There's other things i've seen in Weston as well but i'll wait for you to respond.

Firpo obviously deserves some credit, but i'll come back to that.

Oh before i forget, fck me Wober's useless with the ball at his feet.

He's ok for our defence though atm coz he's an out and out defender, an old fashioned one you might say that'll suit and please our 64 type lot on here, but fck me, please don't ask him to run with the ball, what are them dinosaurs called ? Yeah them, that's what he looks like. A Diplodomamdogasaurus or summert like that, yeah.

Simple solution swap Aaronsen and McKennie's meals.

What are they swapping? Because McKennie is trying to eat a fan. That boy is damn hungry

I thought possession wise FH was ok without creating owt. The longer the game went on i couldn't see us scoring in a month of Sundays. I think Anything less than a win and fans would have been spitting feathers BB. That's the real reason Orta was crying after the goal. JG has got his work cut out no doubt but he looks like he will know which games to target points.

Give me a traditional CB any day over a fancy-dan ' ball playing ' defender like Llorente who can't defend for toffee and was swatted out of the way by physical forwards...Funny how since Wober came in we look solid at the back for the first time since promotion...
