Look - right now it is hard to see a chink of light. But we are almost back to a full squad, as fragile as it is I think we can only get better as a team here on in. Will we stay up - who knows but regardless of other teams winning we have only lost to Chelsea since Gracia came in. We rode our luck today, but often you make your own luck.

Our football is measured, as we try and maintain a more compact shape. Brighton have some quality players - Caceido, Mitoma and MacAllistar will be on quite a few shopping lists this summer, they are also a team brimming with confidence.

I still have hope but we need back to back wins to change the psychology. I think we can do Wolves in our next game, a sweaty 1-0 is well within our gift.

He’s a good bloke Dave, I tend to be the butt of his jokes in his books but it all good fun. I keep saying I should get some form of royalties, but it’s only an odd pint now and then. He’s fortunate enough to have an Away Season Ticket, so never misses a game. I always get his book at the end of each season, and it gets me through those long summers of no trips to Elland Road and he writes about the away games which I don’t get to much these days.

You say that but we also had a lot of bad luck with both goals. For the first we should have had a throw in, it went to them and from that phase of play they scored. For their second it was an own goal, if the ball isn't spinning like a Shane Warne delivery then Harrison clears it. Chances are 99 times out of 100 that wouldn't have been a goal.

Yes we got lucky with Brighton missing a couple of chances but equally we missed a couple. Ayling had 2 great chances, Aaronsen went close and a sharper Rodrigo probably scores. Yes we had luck too with Bamford's goal but it looked well struck so may have gone in without the deflection. I would say a draw was a fair result and we got as much good luck as bad luck. The referee was bloody awful too seemed every time their players went down they got free kicks and we seemed to hardly get anything whne our players went down.

If we go down having players like Cooper, Ayling and Dallas could be crucial as they know what it takes to get promoted and are also players who can lead a young group. I think a few of the current squad would stay too, the sort of players that would likely only be wanted by lower premier league teams would likely stick around for a season in the hope of getting us back up.

Yes, we just about deserved a draw. But then: Brighton aren`t that good either...yes, they`ve had good results. But come on, we at home against a team in 8 th place...look at our squad. We should expect a draw...I for one was dissappointed with the result. Performance was o.k., defence will cost us I fear.

We won't get parachute payments as Radz took out loans against the TV money, so the bank will get them. If it was good enough for his beloved Leicester.... who lost over £90m and needed £200m of debts paying off!

Same thing happened with the blunts, which is why they had money problems this year. Unless the 49ers buy us and put a bit of money in, we'll have no source of income, so there will be a fire sale unfortunately.

Second best for long periods of the game, our back four couldn't cope with Brighton's movement & running at us, got round the back of us far too easily several times. Two spectacular goals earned us a point against a team who are 7th in the Premier League, all due to excellent recruitment & good organisation.

Why Javi took off our best forward Bamford, I have no idea

Firpo and especially Ayling got continually rinsed on the wings. Last week Ayling got rinsed by Chillwell.

But the alternatives are Rasmus and Struijk, who might be better defensively, but don't offer much going forward.

All flawed options at full back/wing back.

Which comes back to recruitment.

Talking about luck we got some yesterday for Harrisons goal. Just as Willy took the corner as he touched the ball another ball was thrown towards him and came onto the pitch. A fussy ref could very easily have stopped play when that happened.

Game could have easily gone either way, both teams were unfortunate not to score more, ayling was raped time and again yesterday, as poor a performance as I've seen from him, firpo wasn'r much better defending but was better going forward, bamford scores and about time as well, harrison continues to be shite, if youv'e only seen the highlights, don't be fooled by a goal and an assist and thinking he had a good game, frig knows what the manager sees in him.
I'd rather have James back as a winger than harrison any day, much better work rate as well.
A point against a top team is a good one, a win away at wolves would be brilliant, one we need after this weekends results.
