A very respectable scoreline but a gargantuan gulf in class.

He should have been.
Robles looks far better.

I'm gonna take some positivity from this even though it is a loss because they could have easily applied more pressure and hammered us - they didn't.

Get in Rodrigo.

Agreed. But how many of us would’ve taken this scoreline before the match. Hopefully, Sam realizes that Meslier, Roca, Bamford, and Struijk are not fit for the fight ahead.

Pretty much a training game for Man City

The fact it was only 2-1 is astonishing

Atleast we showed a bit of fight.

Absolutely awful to watch though

Robles did well
Signed

Firpo’s header was miss timed in truth for the assist. We were never really in it, the scoreline suggests we were better than we were. But it is a possible momentum builder.

So Big Sam with an on-field huddle at full time. I remember when Jesse Marsch did that and was mocked relentlessly. Not so cringe when a English Manager does it eh?

Agree, over the next 3 games, those players all need benching.

Positive signs in there for me, need a bit of perspective we were playing one of the best teams in the league and managed to come away with just 2-1 and at least keep the GD down which is more than the most optimistic supporter would expect.

At least Allardyce has had a good look at the players and can now decide who he feels can give us the best chance of staying up.
Hopefully that doesn't include Roca.

12 goals is it. Got a lot of stick recently but he was clearly a mile off after injury.
For me he has to be first pick over Bamford
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

Not sure there is a lot to take from the first half but does that second half give us a gilmmer of hope?

Very encouraged by the response from the players. All we wanted was some fight from them and they did that!

Having a good season, real quality on occasion, looks like he actually gives a s**t too!

I think it was all the cringe with double cheese that preceded that. The ‘ You’re going to keep us up’ robot jig when we lost 4-0 to City at home last season was perhaps the moment when his cringe value took off.
