A first half brace from German Midfielder ?lkay Gündo?an was enough to confine Leeds to their 19th defeat of the season, and with just one point from a possible eighteen, time is quickly running out for the Whites. It was far from the mauling that was expect, though in fairness the Leeds woodwork took a hammering, as the Champions elect toyed with their prey.

Citeh were totally dominant in the opening half, pinning Leeds back in their opening third, with their backs well and truly against the wall. In truth, Pep's team took it easy on the visitors, and it was somewhat of a relief when the half-time whistle blew, and Leeds were only 2-0 down.

Leeds came out stronger in the second half, and even dared to venture into the uncharted territory of the half way line; whilst at the same time, keeping somewhat of a disciplined defence. Unfortunately, the Whites found it impossible to keep hold of the ball for more than two or three passes, allowing Haaland and Co to continue their shooting practice.

The hosts were even afforded the luxury of missing a penalty, as Haaland opted to give Gündo?an the opportunity to grab his first ever hat trick, only for the woodwork to once, again come to Robles aid. Shortly after, and with only five minutes remaining on the clock, Leeds found themselves back in the game.

Rodrigo latched on to a loose ball on the edge of the area, after a mistake from Akanji. The 32yo makes no mistake, and calmly stroked the ball past Ederson to reduce the defect to one. Regrettably, it was one too far, leaving Leeds a mountain to climb in their final three games.
