Choruses of boos were prominent from the away contingent, as referee Chris Kavanagh blew for the final whistle, yesterday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium. It takes a lot for the Leeds faithful to turn on their own, but having travelled over half way around the Country, just to watch them being trampled over by the latest in a long line of average opponents, the realisation of relegation can't come too soon for many fans.

Shipping 23 goals in a month is quite an achievement, beating their (and the Premier League's) previous record, set during the final chapter of Bielsa's tenure 15 months ago; yet given the choice, the club would do anything to have the Argentine back at the helm right now!

The hosts broke the deadlock on 20 minutes after a teasing run by Solanke, which saw the 25yo weave in and out of traffic, leaving defenders in his midst, before setting up Jefferson Lerma for a spectacular finish. He doubled his tally four minutes later after another blunder from Meslier, which saw the young Frenchman palm Christie's corner aimlessly into his sights.

Bamford restored some respectability to the scoreline with twelve minutes remaining of the half, but that was a good as it got for Gracia's side, as Bournemouth ramped up to third gear. Second half strikes from Solanke and Semenyo guaranteed Premier League status for the plucky South Coast outfit, but more or less hammered the final nails into the Leeds Utd coffin.

I'll post up my player ratings later.
Thanks, Leon! I was particularly curious about your Forshaw assessment given your comment about him in your McKennie assessment. Thanks!

I always thought it was the European type keepers that punched or palmed away shots, rarely tried to catch anything. British keepers in the old days like Jennings, Clemence, Corrigan, Banks would hardly ever do that and tried to catch the ball most of the time. It has slowly worked its way into modern football these days.
I dont see a problem with it as long as they do it well and the ball is cleared properly.

Meslier is tall & big enough to catch it, let's face it goalies are hardly challenged physically nowadays.
It is a strange one that over the years keepers catch the ball a lot less. You'd have thought it would have gone the other way given how much protection keepers get nowadays. I know some blame the lightness of the ball now, it moves more etc, but it doesn't ring true to me. Sure sometimes from a free kick it may be swerving like crazy but generally a cross, especially froma corner, is moving in a fairly predictable way.

I would hope SA has had him working on punching the ball and getting decent distance on it as am sure anyone watching just our last few games will have noticed the flaps.

Robles would be my main change

Forshaw to start.

Wober alongside Koch.
