Now we can get the wheels on the bus moving. A 4 year deal sounds sensible. He had a good record of bringing youth into the side down at Norwich. Lets hope we get the return of the possession based progressive fast attacking football. Now its over the line i'm happy.

Hopefully a vast improvement on the last 3 managers and happy that is wasn't greedy Gerrard or Vieira.
Not a lot of choice but he does have experience in this league.

Re: Daniel Farke is our new coach.
I was worried about the potential exodus of players. And hoped we'd have man in place to talk to every one about the season ahead. And that he'd have time to know who he's going to be working with and who is not.BlackHillsPaul wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 5:48 pm About time! Now let's get on with it. Sort out this mess, get some new players in, and start building a Championship winning side.
But I'm pretty sure Farke has been on board for close to 2 weeks now. And he's probably had most of those conversations already. He probably knows what the bones of his squad is. He would have probably had a say over whether Tyler Roberts got to leave.

That will always be the company lineWhiteRose wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 5:54 pm Delighted to finally have a manager in place and happy with the choice of Farke in the end - don’t like to hear Farke was the front runner from the beginning though as suggests a bit of tunnel vision, did they even bother to listen properly to the other candidates or was it just a formality?
He has mentioned needing a good transfer window - hopefully means bringing players in and not just trying to keep hold of some of the wantaway lot.

Re: Daniel Farke is our new coach.
You must be a happy boy with the USMNT performances. That first goal against T&T was really well taken. They looked much more hungry in front of goal. I know the opposition was weak, but some good signs in that formation.BlackHillsPaul wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 5:48 pm About time! Now let's get on with it. Re: Daniel Farke is our new coach.
i wasnt too keen on him at first but now he is here i am happy. I would have chose Parker tbh. well whatever happens it must be a better choice than Viera or Gerrard. I wish him well and i hope he does a good job for the players the club and the fans, one thing for sure is everyone needs to give him support and he may well bring us all happiness no good slagging him off with shouts to go if we loose a few games. I like the fact Farke has brought his own backroom staff with him as opposed the coaches that came with Marsch, Gracia & Big Sam, lets face it Robbie Keane & Karl Robinson were more suited to a Soccer Aid coaching team.

I like his philosophy and think he will do well, in this league at least.
