Do you have any idea how many Leeds fans or supporters clubs are in the states
The 49ers ownership has had zero effect on our fan base. Players and Managers can draw some interest. And we saw that last year. But most of us Americans posting here are long time Leeds fans.

As for me...Born in Michigan and our family moved to California when I was 10 years old. We moved back to Michigan when I was in High School. I graduated from University and spent my entire working career in Michigan. Retired at age 55 and moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota. And soon we will be moving to Arizona.

Bought my 1st house in Wortley so worked my way to Elland road via the golden fleece and the dragon via Lowfields road. It got a bit rough so we moved .Some years later i was watching Look north and the reporter was outside my old house where some geezer had been shot dead in what used to be my front room . I made a smart move methinks.

Not far from me at all. We live in Strawberry Hill, which is top end of Twickenham, towards Hampton Hill.

I used to have a manager that lived in Huddersfield but had a season ticket for Man U,we use to take the pi** constantly for not supporting the team where he was from.

Since joining the forum it's seems more common than I realised, doesn't bother me now, each to their own and all that . 😁
That's like saying only Cockneys should be watching Eastenders.

When you are growing up as a kid ,miles from any top teams you tend to pick those that are doing well at the time. I grew up 80 miles from the nearest semblance of a recognised team ,Plymouth ( might have just as well been The Moon) and like a lot of kids my age picked Leeds (1972).

Born and bred in deepest , darkest Cornwall till early 20's, moved to London for 12 yrs ,then Torbay for a while ,but moved back Home (bought a shop) 16 years ago. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I was nearer to Exeter but that was still 40 miles away from home and no way my parents were taking me to games on a hugely limited budget. Leeds were the first team I followed (72 for me as well) and fell in love with.........mad fool that I am.

i would say after man utd , liverpool , and the two glasgow clubs, you would be hard pressed to find another club in britain with a bigger worldwide fanbase than leeds, and that includes, city, chelsea , arsenal , newcastle, spurs . and even everton for that matter :-D

its a great legacy left from the revie era .

The scarf which is the background to this site, which was founded 20 years ago, belonged to a fan based in the US. We've always had a big following over there and there has always been a lot of US based fans on the Leeds forums.

I was born in East End Park - Dawlish Mount.

Then lived in the wealthy areas following my parents seperating - Gipson, Seacroft and Crossgates.😂

Left home at 16 and lived abroad sporadically but my estate is in Kent, where I am settled.

Grew up in Luton late 60s, supported Leeds, was surrounded by Chelski (deep hatred for that team) and Arse fans. Moved to Boston Massachusetts in late 80s. Not a newbie US / Leeds fan by any road. Still have affection for the Hatters, used to see some good games in the 70s.

Currently in Guildford but would consider myself a Camberley "lad"

Leeds fan since 1967 (so I'm told), Don't even support Surrey Cricket team. Hampshire CCC through and through
Have you moved from Camberley to Guildford in recent years?
