Re: Norwich City v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Farke's Return

Post by Cjay »

Archie deserved to keep his place and after a bit of an iffy start was excellent at right back.

And full backs playing like cms is all the rage now so not a surprise.

Just thought maybe with all the minutes Archie has played this international break he'd be rested.

We needed someone capable to mark Rowe.

Not mad about Gray playing there as I think we have the rose tinted glasses on currently, but it is essentially our strongest lineup

Feel sorry for Joffy but it is good to see Wee Willy back in the running for some game time

He is the danger as you say.

Norwich fans don't seem overly happy with the lineup they have put out.

Archie has risen to every challenge so far.

He can do it ( I hope)

Even Poveda seems to be ahead of Joffy now.

With the draw by Preston, we can now move in to 3rd (or a tie for 3rd depending on Sunderland's result) in the table with a win today.

Gray should be in midfield where he is meant to be his natural position not filling in because we don't have a decent player in that position
Ayling cooper bamford poveda Shackleton all on bench as supposed cover😁 when they ain't good enough the lack of strength in depth is frightening

Situation with Cresswell is weird.

Why bother giving a new long term contract and seemingly a number which suggests he will be involved.

Makes you wonder what they said to him to get him to sign and has that been broken?

He has to outperform the others in the squad to get selected.

I like the fact that we have competition in the squad.

He will get his chance at some point

Possibly. But I wonder as the season drags on, he and Cooper might switch roles. We do need four quality CBs for adequate cover and he’s that 4th CB at the moment.
