Pretty certain I read a comment about missing Junior last night. I am struggling to quantify what we are missing other than his left foot. Incidentally, Solomon does not play to Juniors strengths on the left side.
For the majority of game time in the past 5 games we have looked very solid defensively.
Won 4 drawn 1, scored 12 conceded 2.
True
Solomon has come into his own of recent whilst Junior has been out.

Crikey did they not wear football kits back then?
Couldn’t afford them, just used one of the heads that were lying around after the executions . That’s where the phrase “ scored with a header “ came from. No need, used to be a history teacher so happy to share my knowledge.

You & I are privileged to have seen Jimmy Greaves play in the flesh.
My uncle knew him at his pomp so did meet him when I was about 6, Johnny Haynes was another. In fact Fulham tried to sign my uncle to be the next Johnny Haynes...

Sunday morning clogging tactics seems to be apparent within several EFL clubs style of play, with the referee's giving teams that play football no protection, this rule of thumb particularly applies to Leeds.
Stoke were no exception.
Wilmot's ankle breaking tackle on Byram. How come did the referee & the linesman, both stood five yards from the incident deemed it to be a yellow card only.
Twenty minutes later, Wimot clatters Soloman after he had dribbled past two Stoke players.
Cannon leaves Bogle in agony on the ground after jumping into his back.
Cannon grounds Meslier off the ball.
Cannon steps on Ampadu's foot off the ball.
Burger barges Rodon to the ground.
Lawal clips Gnonto's heels from the back to stop Willy's run.
Byram pushed into the hoardings. I didn't see who was the culprit.
James taken out by their keeper Johansson
Apparently, Stoke only committed eight fouls, so some of these incidents were not given as fouls
I'll merge this topic to the match day thread once its run its course. I thought these ugly traits was worth a separate thread as many of members seem to stop reading the match day threads.

Wilmott desereved to walk, cannon was very lucky and looked like he actually wanted to leave the field of play.
Once again. inept refereeing
Appalling refereeing, Mental.
I suspect we'll receive another apology from the PGMOL in the coming week. Not good enough!

Mid-way through the second half I got whisked off to watch Gladiator 2. Which in truth with the score line, the foggy footage and the way the game had unfolded I was pretty happy with recording and watching the remainder later.
But a word of warning. If like me Gladiator is one of your favourite films, do not break your neck to watch the abomination of a sequel.
I was astounded at just how bad the story line is and the ending was a complete farce.

Byram is more efficient defender than Junior.
Yes that's also true, and a shame because Firpo can attack well, albeit haphazardly.
Byram uses his noggin knowing when and when not to desert his post or teammates. We are much much weaker as a defensive unit when Firpo plays, that goes without question.
In fact it never seems a problem at all to replace a player like Firpo, it doesn't worry, whereas a Rodon on the other hand, that type of player is key. The manager has done very well and shrewdly built cover almost everywhere, and he should be congratulated for that.
In the build up to Stoke's early chance one of our players was clattered into. It sort of set the tone for the evening as the ref allowed play to go on. I was glad to see him booking Cannon for barging into Messlier - reminded me of the w*nker at Preston who clattered into Messlier but didn't get punished (same guy who twice raked Rodon down the back of his legs). It just seems to be the way teams think they can get at us, especially the away games.
I was trying to think if we had done any of those type of fouls this season, or last, and although I'm sure we must have done there weren't any instances that sprang to mind.
I thought the ref was a lot better than the one we had against PNE but to be fair Jaydog in a tutu wearing a blindfold could have done better than that ref, and had more authority.

I've pretended to support a team that's been crap for most of my life as part of a long term plan

Indeed on all your points
I'm happy we have one of the best coaches in the championship, arguably the best.
It takes time to build a solid team, we were unlucky to just miss out last season.

Our players get no protection from the officials.
You could see Farke waving his arms in a calm down mode as he sensed his players were becoming agitated with some of their challenges & the referee's reluctance to be firm with the culprits.
