Nope - born, bred and buttered in Leeds actually. I have followed this club since the height of the Revie era, and that includes the shock loss to Sunderland in the 1973 FA Cup and being robbed of the European Cup in Paris in 1975.....
And since the Revie era we have had the 1981 relegation, nearly being relegated the following season after winning the top tier title under Wilko, the club ending up in the third tier and going into administration just 6 years after having been in two European semis (including a Champion's League semi) and then getting relegated again just a couple of seasons after finishing 9th in our first season back in the top tier. Oh, and then 6 out of 6 failures in the playoffs is it ?
So that's why I refuse to ever get complacent - whenever things seem to be going really well things tend to happen to Leeds United....

Very difficult to be a Leeds fan in the US even during the best of times through the 70's, 80's, 90's, and beyond. Lack of coverage of English football required real effort to keep up. Doubly difficult after multiple relegations. Thank goodness for the internet. I rarely miss a game now.
But as my Scouser friends remind me, it's the hope that kills you.

hen you have a squad of players that are very close to call who starts, it isn't bizarre at all.
We don't know Farkes plans or instructions or assessment of his players on return from duty (flights etc)
He also now has a bench of quality if needed to alter/rest/win/control the game.
I agree Brendan is now fully rested let's hope he returns to form, Rothwell is by far the better distributor of the ball alongside Ampadu.
Tanaka, Gnonto, Firpo and Ramazani give great options from the bench.

It is puzzling, and its not as if Schmitt will come off the bench ahead of Firpo if we are chasing a late goal.
