Their set pieces were nothing special. Just poor defending on both occasions. You cannot play effectively on the counter without some pace and ball carriers in more areas of the pitch. James was poor today, but he isn’t match sharp for me.

Farke was never going to make wholesale changes for this game after a good start in our first game. We missed Amps, he is such a key player for us.

The reality is that Arsenal have real quality in all departments, losing that 2nd goal just before half-time was the killer. Terrible time to concede.

Something constructive i do take from that game and a negative - It was a huge wake up call to the speed of Arsenal out of possession, our lot didn't know what hit them like " my god it wasn't like this last year, we had time to think at least"

We're all hurting, but realistically we had no chance against the gulf in money spent player by player.

I presume we signed Longstaff because of his PL experience, then pick a midfield with no PL experience away to a top side. We signed Bijol because of his defensive prowess, but then don't play him in a game where we would have to defend. We looked stronger v Everton with Nmecha up top, holding the ball up, yet decide to hoof it up to Piroe, which never worked in the Championship, hence why he started the season on the bench. We signed Okafor and picked James, who was out of his depth v Everton.

I've just finished watching the game,I wasn't expecting to win but was hoping the difference in class wasn't that big unfortunately it was ginormous. You can see why newly promoted clubs struggle.
You can't spend peanuts on multiple players and expect to compete at this level.
Compared to Arsenal we looked like we were in slow motion.I don't blame the players they're just not good enough.
Tough season ahead,let's hope there are 3 worse teams than us.

I would start Harrison instead of Rama.. (a) because he's played at this level and (b) he is working hard to get reintegrated and if he can he can be an asset.

We have Costco in the UK, been tempted by a canoe or a hot tub many times when I've been toilet roll shopping.

Walmart is a bit of a different beast to Tesco though. I'm quite fond of a Carrefour or Leclerc in France as well.

No, but we wouldn't have lost 5-0. Pointless making changes at 4-0 down, had Farke made them at HT, it may have made a difference.

Arsenal didn't even need to play well, since we made it so easy for them. It was like watching a non league team in the cup.

Farke should be asked how we've been crap from set piece both defending and attacking since he arrived and we still haven't got specialist set piece coach.
