Guys you got to ask why ! are they offering more money it can't be game time they are overloaded with players ,is better quality players to learn from or is it he didn't like what farke was offering .I think there is a big issue with recruitment either with how it's presented or don't like the way farke works and still no marquee signings ,so do we go for Solomon and that ain't a bad move imo.

Further, we are relegation fodder, are not a trendy part of the world, and havent deep pockets, plus we are shackled with a couple of high earners who we would prefer not to have around.

Don't think Farke's rep is that high in this division plus his Bundesliga failure. He may also be geting a rep for being difficult to work with. Add to that a rookie DoF and team and we maybe considered high risk, the Niners seemingly wanting to do things on the cheap.. We've basically added players than don't really have anywhere else to go or are trying to get fit again with us..

Well if this is all true and he prefers Chelsea to Leeds then so be it. If his heart really wasnt in it to come and play for us then better off without him.

It is not about preference per se, we were loaning him, It appears Chelsea are signing him on a permanent, probably well over the odds. The money falling into his back pocket would be hard to dismiss. It is not realistic to believe he would rather stay at Brighton and go on loan to Leeds.

I've always chuckled at the "plenty of time" line many bandied about... Get your main business done early, then fill the depth later. Overpay if you have to and trust your scouting (if you don't you shouldn't be in the job)

Ok so maybe we can't afford 12 M on a Longstaff had we left it, but who cares, you can get a Longstaff type on a free, loan or for 2/3 M later. Our bench maybe worth more than our starting line up once we're settled ...

The Premier League is a closed shop & full of arsehole players.

Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford, Wolves, Palace all came from the lower divisions.
Sunderland and Burnley have somehow managed to lure many new players in this summer. I guess the bright lights of Burnley and Sunderland are just too luring to resist.

Ironically, Chelsea will probably be buying him then sending him out on loan. Not sure what the player gets out of this. Other than more money.

Yer I agree farkes rep ain't good in this league especially,you are right a few of the players we have brought are inj prone so why buy its beyond me,as a last resort get Solomon now or Sunderland will snap him up once they now we are interested at this time we are relegation fodder for sure especially with farke at the helm .
