What a half. Karl Darlow can get that starting jersey tattooed on his chest after that.
And I just knew Stach was going to go for goal with that FK when I saw where Martinez was standing.
Keep it going lads. Great stuff.

This is the kind of game we need to win. In front and opposition not at their best. I'll be very angry if we throw this away again.

Need to manage it well.

We've done well so far.

Villa are a better 2nd half team at home apparently and we know what we are like away.

So let's hope

Emery will change things at half time, like he did at Elland Road.

Really strange forum... evrything was posted "just now" even if it were 20 minutes ago.. I got to page 6 and it said last page, went back to page 5 clicked on last page which took me to page 12. On page 12 it said there were 19 pages, went back to page 6 and it still said last page. Maybe it's to deter casual viewers...

They were just resigned about the goal, think there was one reluctant "good FK that" ... but the rest was how s**t they were and tbf, they have been s**t

TBF he's not wrong, we were poor until the wonder strike, then had a good 5 minutes. Villa, if they consider themselves a title team, should have equalized I think. I personally think their league position is a bit false, would expect Liverpool/Chelsea and Scum to finish above them at least

Vills will of course have to change things

Which is an interesting point.

For a newly promoted side how many times already this season have we forced the opposition to change approach to handle us?

At least the following:

ManU
Citeh
Villa
Newcastle
Liverpool
Everton

Not a bad testimony to the team and manager.

Imo

All managers make in game changes just about every game. It's not unusual, it's how football is supposed to work.

This happens a lot with teams that are leading at the half. They think they should simply continue doing what they've been doing.

Problem is, the other side is going to make adjustments and what we've been doing in the first half worked against what the other side had been doing but is no longer doing (if that makes sense).

Up to Farke to anticipate what Villa's adjustments might be and figure out how to respond.

It kinda was, you said we made teams change tactics, so do every other team unless it's a blowout. Managers constantly adjust.

Surely villa can't be that bad second half.
Never really rated Watkins, and he's proving why .
DCL over him for me.
