He is certainly a massive c**k. Or an annoying twat if you prefer.

With regard to our away form would fans prefer we gathered our meagre return from losing positions or winning positions. So from behind or in front. No sexual innuendo intended obviously.
I like the fact that we are disappointed with “dropped” points at Villa. It’s indicative of our improvement under Farke at the top level.
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

Chelsea fans and Leicester fans didn't like Maresca.

Cov fans have complained about Lampard.

Man City fans Pep.

And yet any whisper of anything but love for Saint Daniel makes you a hater.

That's not just Farke Cjay.

If you remember back a while there was a group think that anyone questioning Bielsa was a heretic :)

And yet with Marsch the reverse was true, any positivity was a recipe for being burned at the stake :)

Smudger started that famous thread about positivity vs negativity, which created so much attrition that the thread was shut down.

It's kind of an oversimplified approach where rather than imagining a topic as being multifaceted and complex it's easier just to condense and label perspectives as being right, or wrong, which then obliterates any debate immediately.

I think it's better if we can just consider the differing opinions, and perspectives of others in a civilized manner.

But that should not exclude humour.

Every manager can be criticised but the hope that it is done fairly. Like today Farke is hammered for making a late sub but equally would get hammered if he didn't.

Similarly it is like every bad decision cost us the game rather than we might have conceded regardless of what we did - sometimes the opposition are actually quite good.

Are Villa fans likely saying nice things about Emery now though? Probably not.

Every manager could do things better or differently if you drop points.

If you concede the amount of late goal we do and have as bad a record as we do (3rd worst in the league) at defending leads then isn't it fair to point to the manager?

A one off is fine, a pattern is an issue.

Hands up I’ve had a few 🍻 today watching Leeds & the rugby but I’ve never read so much ‘ s***e after getting a point away to the 3rd placed Premiership team in our 1st season back up.
Not sure what some expect but I’d take 6 points clear with a better goal difference in a heartbeat, go & give your heads a rattle 🫨

Good post.

I agree :)

Be a very boring forum if everyone agreed, but suspect some would prefer it.

Exactly this Jay :ok:

I don't subscribe to the mindset that we should just be looking to survive.

I don't see Sunderland, or their coach espousing the survival approach, or that change and progress needs to be achieved gradually and incrementally.

When we play Man City I'm expecting us to get stuck into them and win. Another abject surrender, like the two against Arsenal is not acceptable.

If you rattle a team, and knock their confidence and composure then any team can be beaten.

Yeah 👍

If we all just agree on everything there is no debate and all we can do is find other minute details to agree on 😂

Chelski are worse than us at late goals.

That can hardly be managerial failing can it?

They aren't.

No team has conceded more goals after 80 minutes than us.

Or is it 75 . Can't remember

It is but equally praise can be given for us actually taking the lead in all those matches. Like I said in another rambunctious post the point gained is the same as the ones against Liverpool, Chelsea, Brentford and Sunderland, possibly others but in those surely Farke deserves criticism for us going behind as well as praise for coming back.

Equally though if you take the Man City performance we came back from 2-0 down to 2-2 before condeding a late winner, same nearly happened v Chelsea so what is the answer?

He's got his own unique style, so I'd leave it.

I've a lot more respect for his ability now as he's shown signs of learning and adapting, which is essential at this level.

He's in the good books now, because we have done well this season. If results go against us then he will be back under scrutiny.

Imo this is the same for every coach, they have to achieve results continually and generate progression on the pitch.

My apologies. I was considering you statistically most likely to be using innuendo. Don’t forget that statistics predict all future outcomes & behaviour.
