We have only conceded 3 goals after the 70 minute mark in games where we were already behind - and 2 of those were aginst Arsenal.

We also have the 3rd worst record in the league when it comes to hanging onto wins.

Surely combining that with our poor overall 2nd half record (which is also the 3rd worst) and our issues with late goals has to be some acknowledgement it is a bit of an issue?

It is but equally praise can be given for us actually taking the lead in all those matches. Like I said in another rambunctious post the point gained is the same as the ones against Liverpool, Chelsea, Brentford and Sunderland, possibly others but in those surely Farke deserves criticism for us going behind as well as praise for coming back.

Equally though if you take the Man City performance we came back from 2-0 down to 2-2 before condeding a late winner, same nearly happened v Chelsea so what is the answer?

Of course has to be balance between when we've shown fight and character.

Not a coincidence. THough the season has shown that we can go behind and come bac with second half goals and go in front and concede late goals. I think what it shows is that we can compete with any team but we are not yet good enough to blow them away.

The intensity we play with has to drop off at the end of games.
Aaronson looked shattered when being substituted. Stach was on his hands and knees and Gruev, DCL and Amps were all blowing in the last 15 mins.
We trade hard work and graft to make up for the lack of “quality” as the cliche ridden pundits put it.

Starting in the 2026/27 season, the Premier League will replace PSR with Squad Cost Rules (SCR), mandating that clubs limit spending on wages, agents' fees, and transfer amortization to 85% of their football-related revenue. This new, real-time, season-based framework includes a "red threshold" buffer zone up to 115%.


Key Aspects of the New SCR Rules (2026/27 Season):

The 85% Limit: Clubs are generally limited to spending 85% of their revenue on squad costs, aligning closer to UEFA's model (which is 70% for teams in Europe).

Components: Costs include player/coach wages, agent fees, and amortized transfer fees.

Revenue Definition: Includes matchday, broadcasting, commercial, and net profit/loss from player sales.

We voted against by the way because setting salary against income is problematic for the "poorer" sides, puts us at a disadvantage plus we don't have anyone we can sell for a good price this year.. Might get a few quid for some of the unused bench players

Pardon me, I've been out all day since the game ended and now I'm in a bit of a mood. Plus, I'm drinking some excellent American IPA's. But some of you negative Nellies need to chill the f**k out!! About 95% of us would have been happy with a point on the road at Villa. Most of us said as much during the week leading up to the match. Do any of. you not see the bigger picture? Just in case it eludes you, the bigger picture is survival. And a point away serves that mission well. So to all of you that can't seem to remember that, just piss off!!
