Great first 20 minutes but City have been on top since then. It looked like we were going to weather the storm until half time and re-group but it wasn't to be.
Huge uphill battle to get something now.
Every single one of their players look comfortable on the ball whereas we tend lose possession within a few seconds of getting it back

The lads worked incredibly hard in that half and but for a lack of quality we should have got a couple of goals had DCL and Aaronson stuck away golden chances. Their finishing quality is the difference after a half that cireh dominated

Aaronson off maybe ? Sounds like he's knackered anyway.

Aaronson lost the ball, should have booted it.

Stach and Rodon lost the runners.

Been coming we've looked knackered last 15-20

DCL and Aaronson needed to make more of their chances (especially DCL)
Both were off side I reckon both should stay onside in the first place..... But this is the level. City are incredible at keeping the ball and eventually the elastic tires.... Our shape (Rodon/Stach lost the runners and in the net....).

Just what it is.... Very impressed but to beat these you either need them on an off day.... Be totally on it and take chances when you get them and hope for the best.

How is this possible - we have an xg of 1.24 and city have 0.34 and we go in at half time 1 nil down

Did well for the first half an hour or so.

Pressed high, didn't give City time to get into their rhythm which is exactly what we needed to do.

Good shape especially out of possession

But that dropped off as the game wore on.

Got a bit sloppy as well, players trying to hold onto the ball or play short passes when maybe long was best.

Needed to score when on top, don't care how many defenders DCL runs into he has to score those chances.

Hopefully see some changes early on 2nd half to keep the team fresh and come out with purpose like the first half.

I thought our weak area was the left...

Anyhow.

A tale of two comparable chances so far.

Doubt we see any changes before the hour

Did Rodon leave that cross?

That city goal cost them £100m.

Just putting that in there for context.

We've had more shots and the DCL chance will be a big xG thing.
