Those behind us need ten points.
I didn't phrase that very well - I actually meant that we have scored 7 points in our last 7 games...Maybe 7 points would be enough though ?

Those Wolves, Burnley games at home, along with Spurs, West Ham away are huge.

I'm not sure 40 is going to be enough, 38 is looking well short atm

We're headed for 40.5 points atm

I got that wrong - 6 points from our last 7 PL matches. So we dropped below the point per match. We will really need some wins in the last 8 games.

Going to West Ham with both teams in the zone won't be fun so you'd hope we're safe by then... which means we have 6/7 games to get 10 points...

seven points from seven games puts us exactly on track... and what Farke says he wants, a point per game. mustn't grumble

If we beat Brentford under the lights next Saturday night, those games may not seem so huge.

Once again, amother round of PL matches pass & we are no worse off.

Can you honestly see all three of West Ham, Forest & Spurs acquiring 40+ points?

It’s frustrating that it’s 4 games with no goals from open play, 3 without scoring at all. Farke is trying to fall over the line with draws, he has this 38 point mark stuck in his head but with 8 games to go that’s very risky.

We’ve become too predictable again, with insufficient pace, skill or individual brilliance to unlock teams who just match up our formation. If James and Gnonto were so far away from Farkes mind why have we carried them through the season and not got rid in the summer?

Yes... Forest the least likely to be fair... If we lose to Brentford, Spurs beat Forest and West Ham beat out of form Villa then

Spurs 33
Leeds 32
West Ham 32
Forest 29

doesn't look great with the next round being in form Manure at home to us, West Ham at home to Wolves, Forest home to villa and Spurs at a fading Sunderland, the WH and Spuds games very winnable for them. You'd fancy a forest draw

Spurs 36
West Ham 35
Leeds 32
Forest 30

after 32 games and they're perfectly plausible scores.. We need to beat Brentford

The usual handwringing but I don't know what game some were watching.

So are Palace Crap or did we make them play crap?

Before the sending off we had 4 very good chances to open the scoring.

The DCL header.
The Aaronson drag wide.
The Bilol header that which had mm not over the line.
The pen.

They had NOTHING.

So it's not as if we had the:

Wrong team
Wrong tactics.

After he sending off they had one chalked off because a player who should have been sent off himself was caught offside. That was the entire threat.

We had a decent effort from range.

The funny thing is that BECAUSE the side did play so well and nullified a pretty strong well seasoned PL team imo that gets turned into a negative.

Weird..

Can't see WH getting 40,
Winning 4 games with their fixtures is unlikely

We may have dropped below the point per game over the last 7 games but we’ve still got 32 points from 30 games.

You forget about our current away form in which we are unbeatable (Newcastle excepted)

Yep, can't see 38 being enough. I've said all season we need 10 wins, we only have 7. I can't see 3 wins happening in the last 8. Brentford isn't a given either, they are a good team and the goals have dried up.

We need to equal or better Bunney in 3 results of the remaining eight games to finish above them (taking into account the GD between us too) and we need to equal or better Wet Spam in 5 results of the remaining eight games to finish above them. We are literally neck and neck with Spares.
