Agree Sub, but wonder if Aaronson and Wilson will line up behind DCL.
Brendon isnt good playing in a forward role - he cant help himself getting back to get involved, then when we're on the break he goes "oh f**k, Im supposed to be up there!" :-

Think that will be the line up too. Personally, I would prefer Okafor in the team instead of Aaronson but that still looks like a strong 11 which should be good enough to come away from there today with something.
Probably a bad time to be playing them as they will all be out to impress the new manager first game, but it will be a good (very early! ) test to see how much we have improved from last season.

However Cjay is correct DF did say that.

If you watch the presser, he was talking about how to handle a player who might be a bit down after the world cup.
He said might rib Tanaka about his performance when he first got back, and then get back to business.
It was NOT an outright criticism.

I see BA playing that role as a breaking midfielder, something we lack when it is 3 midfielders out of Ampadu, Stach, Longstaff, Gruev or Tanaka. Think it makes us much more effective having BA in that role and someone also alongisde DCL.

I think Perri will be back up until we sign another back-up keeper. Be interesting to see whether he or Cairns starts in the cup.

Been saying Perri is backup until we replace him. I believe we are looking to completely offload him. As a backup he is much better than Cairns. Strange one…
