That is what is so frustrating, we have good players who are performing poorly at the wrong time for us. I reckon only Klich and Jansson have consistently played close to their best over the last few games.
Klich has been massively under rated recently, at times the only true centre mid on the park and trying to do it all. Though Forshaw did well today bar one pass and getting caught too far up for their goal

Deja vu.

Same as last season and the season before.

The fact a clearly shot 18 year old is our only hope says it all.

No point Bielsa being angry at them as we all know the same team will be lining up for the Villa game. No point crying and feeling sorry for themselves, when they've got us in to this predicament with their generally laziness and poor play. Atm, they look devoid of confidence and ideas, can't see them winning the playoffs. Just put u23s in for the next two games, Shack, Gotts, Bogusz, Edmondson, Diaz, Brown all deserve chances.
Must agree there SG. If MB puts Clarke in the next squad he really has lost the plot. The lads gone big time. Get the 23's in to freshen it up and give the opposition something different to think about FFS ! There's a sense here that the regulars are starting to upset each other due to their incompetence to do the basics right. It needs fresh faces with a sense of urgency.

We all knew Dallas would come on, we all knew Roofe would replace Roberts (That AMF position one of the downfalls this year along with LB and LW and DMF ...all players out of position for me

Teams can plan even for our subs ...We cannot be a 14 man squad, it cannot work in this day and age

The thing with Bogusz is, no one will know who he is or how to play against him. We need a bit of unpredictability. Hate that we're not using our own talents to do a favour for Fraudiola, even though he's done nothing to help us.

Maybe that is why we didn't spend big in January. If Bielsa is - rightly or wrongly - going to stick with the same small set of players, why spend the money?

The thing is, until last Friday, you could easily argue that Bielsa's tactics were working, and the right thing to do.

Does that Maupay want to play for us or something? Always desperate to celebrate in front of our fans than his own.

Well exactly, and why I don't think we'd seen much of James had we signed him. We do have better options at LW than Harrison, we have all season but there he is, starting every game.

We didn't need to spend big, we just needed a couple more players, Saiz replacement and another midfielder. It was obvious to everyone except Mr PR.

Does anyone know if we can use on loan players in the playoffs? Could Pearce, Wilks or even Saiz come back?

I don't believe for a second MB bought on Clarke knowing he could change the game. He must have known Jack would be ineffective. I think he must have given up at that point and was hoping to get Clarke back in form again ..

To me it looks like we have no energy in midfield. Remember how we use to run back in numbers to defend, now it's just lazy jogging. Bogusz and Shack would give us energy from midfield.

Now autos are gone, we should rest Kiko, Pablo, Klich, Jansson, KP. Save them for the playoffs.

We did need to spend money to bring in players of better quality though. And then then question still remains if Bielsa would have stuck with the players he'd been using until then anyway.

They cant in this current formation.

We could make a decent 4- 4 -2 out of our squad or even 4 -1-3-2 if we still wanted Coop a little deeper as a screen. But we will need to stop using the high press from the word go. Roofe and Bamford to pull the wide defenders out of position and Pablo Klich and Roberts to push through the middle... I can only dream

Wont happen, but we cant just keep on putting square pegs in round holes and hoping to get away with it.

Bielsa refusing to blame the ref for the pen call and went round and shook the hands of all the players.

The man is a saint who has been badly let down by the board and the players.

This is where we need to stand up and be the 12th man, rather than letting our season filter out. It's hard though when it's so predictable who will play and come on.

Although I don't believe that Bielsa will do it, we have the advantage of being able to make the decision before the Villa game knowing the Sheffield Utd result. If they lose, there is no way we will rest anyone. If they win, then we probably should.

I wouldn't be particularly that bothered if we rested players and lost, but if we start the exact same team with the same subs and lose both, we know that will be that in terms of playoff hopes.
