How is it that a lot of us dummies see what looks like some major problems but he hasn't seen the same or maybe more accurately, hasn't changed anything to correct it?
Our form tells the truth.
BTW I know we are still 2nd but we were double digits ahead of 3rd place a short while ago. We should be concerned.
I am concerned..I've made that very clear. Changing the manager for god knows who is not the answer. The answer is for MB to sit down with his team (not players) and explore the options.

Tbh I don't think a lot of fans would be that bothered if that happened. He's working his ticket now imo.

Full of energy but a total lack of quality & composure

Keep insisting he is not a defender, too bl**dy small for starters!

Woolly hat yes,
Parka yes.
If the scarf was over your mouth then, no.

If the YouTube is available I will search it.

Would be nice for a MOT icon to be featured on LIVE TV

Well Marcelo will have to change his cat-like habits then because the system is clearly not working, doesn't help his cause continuously polishing turds. We'd be halfway down the league under another coach/manager.

And what decisions are they? Picking Casilla who keeps dropping bollock after bollock? Or Bamford, who I'd think would like to be dropped. It's the hope that kills you, Bielsa gave me that, but he now started to make me resent him for it because he can't sort it out.

Never giving up is in his line of work, contextual. My first question isnt should he go, but who replaces him if he does?

At this point we just look beat.

Time for some decisions, perhaps radical ones.

faaip wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2020 7:41 pm I guess that's what happens when the players playing good football are played out of position or just have poor games. Poor game for Jack but his first really poor game of the season. White had an off day too. Dallas very poor today, never seen him quite that wasteful. Kiko actually fairly good outside of the howler.

Is that 4 defeats in 5? ...

Going to be tough to turn this around now I have to say and we're getting to the point where it's only new blood that will kick start that imo. Will be interesting to know why no Poveda on the bench.

Casilla - 5 - 2 cracking saves, one opportunist save, one howler
Ayling - 8 - Best player in the second half, really the only one to drive us forward
Alioski - 6 - I'd have kept him on and taken Jack off..pushed him up
White - 6 - Some poor passing from him today plus a booking, decent in defence
Cooper - 4 - Poor today for me, especially as a captain
Dallas - 3 - Very very wasteful, attacks went to die there
Hernandez - 6 - Radar was off bar one nice cross. Really don;t think he's a centre or attacking mid
Harrison - 6 - A real curates egg, so good some bloody awful, gets a bit of a pass because his recent form has been outstanding
Costa - 6 - Lively, struggles without an outlet
Bamford - 0 - Rank
Klich - 8 - MOTM - Just did his job while most everyone else failed for the most part today

Shackleton - 7 - I like, good player hopefully sees more game time
Roberts - 6 - Couldn't get into the game, Shackleton looks a better prospect
JK - 7 - Promising first 15 or whatever it was, now needs to establish partnerships with his wingers.
Yes Klich & Ayling were our best two players

Still scratching my head how Jack managed 18 votes to win the MOTM on our coach :chair:

Problem is I don't think he knows any other way hence why he's never won anything. There are good coaches which Bielsa obviously is but good coaches don't win trophies necessarily. Good managers know how to make the right decisions at the right times and change things tactically even during a game. Bielsa doesn't convince me he has this capacity. He has all this data on players and teams but his own team stays the same in personnel and style every single game barring injuries and suspensions. I'd love to know how and why he uses this data. Having said that I'd probably be bored out of my tiny mind after a few minutes just like the players are I suspect.

Awful game, the guy needs dropping. Not a leader, the Cooper of old has returned.

Won't happen of course because some players can play badly & are undroppable
Bamford header after 28 mins I think. Looked like he was heading a house brick Image

Lets get back to players in their proper positions. A proper LB, Alio on the bench, Ayling back to right back. We get Kalvin back so that's good. Pablo to Right wing and Costa on the bench. Shack to the #10. Twice today he was first in the box creating a second front so to speak. Something we've missed all season really. JK starts and Poveda on the bench if fit (I'm assuming something kept him out today as we must have promised him a match day spot to get him to come here)

This from a Forest fan I have a lot of respect for, posting on waccoe. Responding to "I bet your smug today"
Eh, not really. Thought it was two very decent teams out there, but the ones who have caused us real problems are the ones who set out to beat our system and Bielsa didn't do that. The entire Forest game plan is to keep the centre of the field congested in our half and force the ball out to the wings, where we can close down in a smaller space and the centre-halves can deal with most crosses into the box. The way to beat Forest, especially at home, is to sit back a little and force our midfield to step up, then make Sow and Watson try and play on the turn. Leeds have the players and the ability to do that but for some reason they didn't, they seemed keen to move the ball out wide and play where we wanted them to.

All that said, we're still 4th. No one's promoted yet so it's not time to be smug. We're perfectly capable of losing at home to Charlton on Tuesday because they'll probably sit back and be happy with a point, which is when we struggle. We aren't very good at breaking teams down when they hold their shape, we rely on Cash, Lolley and Ameobi to exploit the gaps left by teams overcommitting to attacking

I'm definitely not advocating sacking him. That would be a foolish thing to do at this point of the season. BUT it has been clear for quite some time that things are not working out like we all want them to. The system doesn't seem to be changing and the players are not being changed. The one person who can fix it or attempt to fix it still seems reluctant to do anything different. I believe that's what is frustrating and annoying to most of the people who just want our team to be successful.

If you had two things to change now, what would you do?
As you travelled back tonight, what were they saying?
Cheers Ian, watching Leeds is self-inflicted so please don't feel sorry for me ;-)

I'd probably make nine changes for the Brentford game, five of them positional

Meslier for Casilla
Ayling for Dallas
Dallas for Alioski
White back in his CB role for Ayling
Berardi for Cooper
Phillips for White/Dallas
Hernandez for Costa
Shackleton for Hernandez/Roberts
Augustin for Bamford (if big Kev is fit to start)

Fans at the ground & on our coach were making similar comments as have been mentioned on this topic
