I know what you mean about the Raphinha goal but it was great teamwork to keep the ball alive in a tight area and get the ball to Raphinha.Cjay wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 7:38 pm Very pleased that we got what we deserved in terms of points if not quite the score.
Thought it was going to be another Man City and Arsenal game where we got 1 point but deserved 3.
Telling imo that despite the misses, the saves, it was a moment of quality from a quality individual that got us the win.
The individual quality we lack in general was saved today by a quality strike all about the individual.
That being said, an excellent team performance.
Koch and Coops did a decent job on Calvert-Lewin.
We handled Rodriguez well.
Ali had another great game
Harrison put in a shift as did Dallas and Ayling.
Ive doubted Meslier at times but he was good today
And Raph is class.
Everton had chances to but we definitely deserved to win.
Whether it was 1-0 or 6-3 we deserved the win.
Delighted with another clean sheet.

Paddy had a hissy fit when he was subbed.
Great to get the points today.
Stand outs by Meskier
Raph
KP.
We role our luck at times but there was much to admire.

Amazing how much better a coach you become with Kalvin Phillips in the lineup.
Especially since it's all down to Bielsa that Phillips is the player he is today.

But we know we can do that sort of stuff.
Its the bit at the end that requires an individual to take charge that usually lacks.
Great teamwork and it definitely ended up at the feet of the right man.

Fantastic result and well deserved. Everyone played well so my player ratings are going to be tough to make, though I thought KP was outstanding, Meslier very safe (albeit one poor pass), Harrison and Alio real handfuls, and Dallas and Klich everywhere. Defence were immense in marshalling what I would say is one of the best 4 or 5 forward lines in the PL. And then Raphinha, absolute quality even if he drifted in and out of the game, he is a game-changer who we will need to accept may go missing at times but will offer a hell of a lot more in return when he turns it on.

Great win
KP and Raphinha were huge and absolute standout
But our nightmare show in front of goal continues. Ali and helder at the end in particular. Jack and Klich guilty beforehand. Why can't we just put the Ball in the net? We seem to have everything else at the moment!
Cant actually believe alio at the end. He'd had a great game before. Bamford more than fairly angry with him when he came off

Very pleased with that result!
KP was immense tonight, as good a performance as any I've seen from him.

Only just finished watching the game as didn't get home until 6pm so I recorded it and watched without knowing the score.
What a result and performance.
A couple of scary moments but Meslier was excellent apart from the one mis placed pass to Rodriguez.
What a player we have in Raphinha, he is absolute class.
Another assured performance from Alioski as well, he looks a completely different player.
KP and Klich bossed the midfield and Koch was very good as well.
Bring on Chelsea.

Delighted with that! Deserved to win last week, but we got the job done this week. These are the kind of games we need to win, as we struggle to break down the bus parkers. Back to back clean sheets, great improvement all round. How did the goal come about? Because we actually took a shot for a change, rather than playing a million passes. The difference from last week is we tried to rush it too much, whereas Raphinha took his time and came up with a bit of magic to win the game. Now hopefully we can wipe smug Frank's grin next week!

That was a fantastic game again. Realy dominated another supposed superior team. Juts look at the money Everton have spent building their squad compared to us and the deeper back up in quality they have. And here we are with a bunch of championship players and a couple of marquee signings and we're totally outplaying them. Our attacking football was brilliant at times.
We were a little white knuckle at the back but as a unit defended well. I like the alternations - Alioski/Dallas interchanged a few times, then later Dallas went right and Ayling into a back 3. We looked solid in the 2nd half
To a man we played really well, no fault with anyone. Stondouts: Phillips was immense in the middle again, picking up 2 or 3 attacking runners again. He cut out a lot and created a lot going forward. Koch was brilliant at the back. Ayling covered well in the 2nd half and was brilliant with the freedom he had going forward in the 1st half. Meslier made some fantastic saves and (except for one pass to James) never put a foot wrong. He's looking every bit a top premier league keeper at such a young age. Harrison was brilliant in his first touch and creativity but should have really scored - especially that first left footed chance.
And Rafinha? What a player. He was brilliant in the 1st half. Quietened a little in the second but still had a few more moments, none more so than the goal
I look at that performance today and just think about how we've got Rodrigo, Costa and Poveda on the bench and Llorente, Hernandez and Shackleton injured. Great optimism after a little down patch.

Loving the fluidity of Dallas in midfield atm.
I prefer him at LB, but the way he instantly swops with either Alioski or Ayling if they venture into midfield, totally baffling the opponent, is great.

Dallas has been amazing, consistently good whenever we play him.

It will be interesting to see if there are any repercussions for Paddy.
Bielsa (imo) sees football as a team game and believes (again imo) that players should put the team first and not themselves.
Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.

In fairness, Paddy just looked aggrieved because he felt he could still contribute by scoring - easily interpreted as passion for the team. No bottle kicking or armband throwing- and I’m not dissing Pablo here, just it wasn’t the same type of dissent coming off.
