They are playing really well again. We looked very good at the start of the season and we are back to those kind of performances. The only (BIG) difference is that we were scoring at the beginning of the season and currently we are missing a lot of very good chances.
You've got to be optimistic for this season.

Bielsa (imo) sees football as a team game and believes (again imo) that players should put the team first and not themselves.
Bamford didn't do what Hernandez did. Hernandez threw off the armband and left it on the ground. Bamford went right to the bench and sat down. I think the latter's hissy was less and easier to understand.

I prefer him at LB, but the way he instantly swops with either Alioski or Ayling if they venture into midfield, totally baffling the opponent, is great.
Dallas played LB, RB, and MC today. Huge asset

If only we had a bit of pace through the midfield. Allan did a couple of good runs for Everton through the midfield. KP was in a similar position but didn't know what to do as he didn't have the pace to run. We need a pacey CM in January.

These are the kind of games we need to win, as we struggle to break down the bus parkers. Back to back clean sheets, great improvement all round. How did the goal come about? Because we actually took a shot for a change, rather than playing a million passes. The difference from last week is we tried to rush it too much, whereas Raphinha took his time and came up with a bit of magic to win the game. Now hopefully we can wipe smug Frank's grin next week!
Funny thing about our goal was that Raphinha didn't have a pass on. He looked twice but perhaps because of the energy levels dropping he didn't have an option so decided to take a punt instead. He looks to have ( as does Rodrigo) that one thing that imo we have lacked.

Individual brilliance, It his hard to believe that it is only his second start. He almost scored a cracking FC at Palace as well and laid it on a platter for Harrison today after a great run. How much was he £17M?

If he plays like that he will be worth double that.

Now we have Costa and Harrison fighting for a place on the other wing which will be good, as Raph looks he has a first team slot booked.

Sarcasm mode
At the end of last season Jack was a snip for 10 million.
Bamford will never make it in the premiership
Alioski is not a defender and is our worst left back
Cooper is a donkey, cant understand how he can be captain
Meslier is too young
Koch lefts six in while playing for Germany, and can't pass the ball for toffee and gives away penalties
Costa is a bench warmer
Dallas is a square peg in a round hole
Ayling falls over more than Grelish
Get rid of them all and build a new team around Kalvin and Klich
Give the young ones a chance.
Orta has signed a bunch of rejects
Radrizzani is broke and won't invest to keep us up, and he is only in it for the money
Bielsa is pig headed and stubborn.

Who believes any of that shite that gets spewed out in the match day thread
Regardless of seeing the scintillating football we play, these matchday threads
are filled with a load of moaning whiners.

It pisses me off.

I agree that Pablo's reaction was worse. But I still wonder if Bielsa will take some sort of action.

Wait till next week I suppose,.

Tbf he has 1 goal 3 assists this season.

I dont think he will ever have the end product consistency to be a top player.

The miss from Raph's pass 1st half was poor.

But he tries hard and is capable of doing great things.

Id still like to see him at left back bit hopefully next summer Jack is a player we upgrade on.

And credit to Poveda and Rodders.

Great skill from Poveda and lovely lay off from Rodders, Costa should have scored.

Coops still worries me, Calvert Lewin kept getting behind him.

The chance 1st half where he iust let the ball go.

He has been a great servant but imo this needs to be his last season as a 1st choice.

I wasn't nervous & don't believe our players were tired or nervous as some suggested on here.

I thought Everton looked jaded though!

Pablo was playing well and replaced by a lad who look to have totally lost it.

Bamford was only brought off to waste time... if he was annoyed because he didn’t score he was right to be so...

Great win, more because it would be a sickener to come away regretting another dropped two points if we hadn’t seen it out. This also takes the pressure off the Chelsea game. We have 1.4 points per game and that will see us mid table if we keep it up. Even a point in London would make for a great run.

Delighted with two clean sheets but I do have to say that that was nothing short of miraculous! Meslier was excellent again (aside from his pass to that whinging git James) but we looked vulnerable on every cross. It’s heart attack stuff.

Ayling much improved and Alioski holding up really well. Philips was excellent, as was Dallas. I thought Klich was still off on his passing and got caught for speed on a couple of occasions. His work rate was still brilliant. Moving Raphinha over to the left didn’t work - he still looks most dangerous in the centre to me. His shot from a standing position was excellent and shows what he can do for us - top class.

Harrison possibly under pressure - and we have options. How did he miss that first chance. He did give the assist for the goal so I can be too critical.

Anyway, looking forward to the other games now. Pressure building on the teams dropping off the end of the table, even this early. Can just about see them in the rear view mirror now! 😉

Starting to think the same on Cooper. Was quality in the championship and he obviously has huge respect as a leader from the team. But we're signing better players and Cooper is looking a little behind the standard in the premier league. I even think he's losing his confidence and voice a little. When I saw him play his first game this season he was really loud and shaping the defence. Didnt see as much of that today. Once Llorente is up to pace, I think he'll be taking Coop's place/
