So do I Swannie.

Remember last season when I was urging Bielsa to start him at CB & stop trying to make him into a defensive midfielder.

Eventually Marcelo cottoned on & played Pascal & Llorente together v Burnley at ER, we scored a goal & then put in one of our best defensive displays under Bielsa (the other one was at The Etihad). We won the game 1-0 & that was the beginning of their partnership to give us a solid base to build on for a very fruitful season!

What a great game to be at. Not in the away end. Had a touch for this game and had a great seat 😉

Saw a few spam fans almost in tears. Days like this do not come along often. A few heads turned with my cheering.

Read through the match comments - the rollercoaster element of that game is evident. But honestly do people really need to call out a player otherwise having a great game for the odd mistake. Ayling was brilliant - that boy was our only platform from playing out of defence.

James - needs to work on his touch but he makes me tired watching him. He is none stop.
If I was being critical the only player who generally disappointed me in comparison to the work rate of everyone else was Klich. I cannot remember him winning one 50/50. He looked asleep far too often. But that is how he plays I suppose - very languid approach.

Bate was an astute sub. It was tactically brilliant in terms of changing the momentum of the game. Not sure why as he didn’t really do that much / it just upset spams game and put them on the back foot somewhat. Some tactical changes are just beyond the comprehension of even the most self proclaimed arm chair experts 🤫

Best 3 points we will win for a while.

That's the thing, he will despite the others being better. I just don't get it.

Hjelde makes Struijk look a veteran and yet he's still only 22!

If he doesn’t sulk about it and realises that he’s going to get game time for the next few games, he will be fine.
I'm sure someone from the coaching staff will pull him aside and explain that he wasn't pulled for anything he did (or failed to do).

We used to play three times a week in the championship throughout the whole season.

Get your head out of the clouds, Moyes you goon.

We are in negotiations with Raphinha now, he'll sign as he loves Leeds & appreciates Bielsa to the hilt.

He's going nowhere!

I did mention the pass from Ayling to Raphina out on the right was sublime DDB

We miss Ayling when he doesn't play

You really picked a cracker of a game, really glad you enjoyed it :)

He better not do.

Llorente, Struijk, Koch are better, then how promising are Hjelde & Cresswell?

Not decrying Coops in any way, we could have done with him this last month or so, however for Liam to waltz back into the team because he's captain would be wrong, he has to earn his place!

Hopefully with Llorente, Pascal, Koch & Hjede available, we won't see Ayling at CB no more this season, suicide balls out from the back & got tied in knots a couple of times. Luke didn't have a bad game, did his best, but he's not a CB.

Yes, Ayling won the ball to send Raphinha on his way for the Klich disallowed goal and that is exactly what he is capable of. He is very good at RB, just dodgy defending at CB. Overall, good to see Struijk back and Hjelde performing so well which means that Ayling will be at RB for most games from now on.

You are bemoaning a situation that hasn’t happened with regards to Cooper. I seem to recall a similar situation in the promotion winning season when he returned from injury he was kept out of the side due to the form of white and Struijk.
He is the captain ffs - you need to be playing well whichever club you play for - if it means the captain is not in the team as a result.

Glad you enjoyed the game, DDB.

I've only seen us win twice in London since 2017 at Fulham & QPR, the days I could obtain away tickets with ease.

Was at the Spurs when we played well & deserved at least a point.

Plus Cresswell back soon too.

Now we've built a bit of leeway, hopefully young players should be getting more game time towards the end of the season.

We do miss Ayling, he's a big wholehearted player for us, much more proficient as a RWB though.
