Whilst confident we will keep our few assets this January i do worry about the summer.
Why would KP and Raph commit to a club with no ambition?
People can say we are only in our 2nd seasom but you can still try.
Wolves did Villa are, we actively just want to not be relegated and our owner is quite happy to tout our players in the media, its proper weird behaviour.
That isnt a message that keeps better players.
Looks like Hammers doing their best to unsettle Leeds best players .Do they think there is a buy one get one free sale ?
They could have Roberts and ......don't know , someone else , Rodrigo maybe for £50m, trouble is it's late in the day for buying now for replacements......and there's the Orta factor in that it never happens .

Hjelde played 11 matches for Ross County in the Scottish Premier League last season.
Messlier played 17 matches for Llorient's reserve side between 2017-2019. He then played 28 matches for the Llorient first team in France's Ligue 2 (their equivalent of the championship). Moving to us in the championship he knew he was signing as back up to Kiko Casillas and to provide competition for him.
Gelhardt made 19 appearances for Wigan's first team in the championship.
Ramsey, would likely be viewed as coming here to provide competition for Ayling and presumably seen as stronger back up then Drameh was.
Gelhardt was mostly cameos from the bench.
Meslier was unhappy at being dumped in the u23s and not getting a chance, he would've left that summer had Kiko never been racist.
Drameh and Summerville are unhappy as they were promised first team football, which hasn't materialised. It's only a matter of time before Bate and Gelhardt feel the same way.
According to DiMarzio, the Ramsay deal would include a loan back to Aberdeen, which makes far more sense than dumping him in the u23s.

Thank the lord he was a racist, otherwise the utter clown would still be here now , no way Bielsa would get shut, too loyal, even to useless calamities.

Would this be the same Bielsa who refuses to play youth instead of experienced players and refuses to get rid of players, yet chose to keep faith with Messlier once Kiko had served his ban?
Similar to others you choose and twist everything, ignoring reality, to suit your opinion.

Really !!!
Are you trying to kid us all that Casilla was a good goalie ? Oh dear, I resoect most of what you say, but how on earth can you defend him.
Also, Bielsa stood by IM because he realised what a find we have on our hands and could have lost him.

Tbf he literally had no choice but to drop Kiko, I think that is his MC's point.
With Bielsa once you are a first 11 player it's almost impossible to get dropped, he has to have no choice.
Then Meslier did OK and by the time Kiko came back Bielsa decided that Mes was now his established number 1 and he was now in the position Casilla was in and almost impossible to lose his place.

I think it was more to do with the shame and negative headlines it would've brought on the club, at a time we needed anything but. I remember at the time a lot of us were worried Kiko would come back.

I doubt anyone is promised first team football here ....
Anyone in his first choice 18 is guaranteed football and its common knowledge Bielsa doesn't like making changes so his first choice 11 doesn't change unless he has to.
A man who makes the fewest changes and uses the fewest players does effectively promise first team football to a select few. . . .
Bielsa simply does not drop players based on form (remember Bamford in the Championship). If you are in his preferred 11 you almost can't lose your place unless injured or suspended

It matters not what yours or my opinion on Kiko, November's EFL player of the month, Casillas is. It just shows that, contrary to many people's opinion, Bielsa was happy to keep faith with a youngster, ahead of a regular and more experienced player. Most managers would have gone back to Kiko once the ban was over or opted to sign a more experienced keeper. Not many keepers around of Messlier's age that have played as many top flight matches as he has.

Like I said, he didn't want a racist at the club, therefore giving IM his chance, regardless of KC ability, he had to go, MB didn't just decide KC wasn't good enough, his hands were tied.

Bielsa had no choice to play Messlier - albeit he could have signed an experienced keeper when Kiko got banned. But even you then have said that because Messlier did okay Bielsa decided to stick with youth rather than recall experience - something you and others seem to suggest never happens. Although Messlier did well I don't think he did so well that Kiko couldn't have been brought back in as first choice - I seem to recall most fans suggesting that we needed a new first choice keeper that summer with Messlier then as back up. I seem to recall you being very angry we hadn't sign Emi Martinez from Arsenal.

Tied so much that he brought Kiko in for the match against Derby at the end of the championship season and kept and played him last season. I thought Bielsa was all powerful and cannot be told to do anything.....

We couldn't have signed anyone. He was banned in March.

Special dispensation when it comes to keepers being illegible. Your research has been non-existent today. Plus we could have signed someone n January as we knew the court case was looming.
