If we are betting on the injuries clearing up thats not going to happen realistically, KP< Coops and Bamford have missed months and will need multiple matches to gain match fitness. The chances of them being match sharp before the end of the season are very slim.

So if we cant rely on that then why?

I had a sarcastic reply when I made this comment a few weeks ago but if Bielsa had come in when we were already in the PL on this form he would have been sacked at Christmas

as a team you went down 1-0 due to a harsh handball by dallas. small margins.

you could of had a pen in 7th minute with goalkeeper sent off .

you dont struggle to create chances , defensively you are weak , but i think it would also be naïve to suggest you can go out and replace players like Phillip's and Bamford . You turned down a bid from spurs for bamford and gave him a new deal.

you turned down a bid of over £50 mil for phillips and raph .

bamford i wouldnt accept any less than £50 mil for him phillips over £100 mil raph the same , those three are key to the system you play .

Not a great time to change managers but in any other club with this run of results Bielsa would be gone......if he stays nothing will change....if he goes then who knows...same ...worse or a change of style that keeps us up.....I realise that with a dozen or so games to go change is unlikely.....so it will probably be hello to all our old friends in the championship.

I turned off when the 4th goal went in last night, couldn't bear to watch any more only to check the final result 15 minutes later and was horrified to see another two had been conceded.
I have just read through the last six or so pages of this thread and saw what I expected to, most of it justified. So I genuinely want to know, how to we stop the slide?
What needs to change to stop the current trend of conceding an average of 3 or 4 a game.
I doubt very much that Bielsa will be sacked so pointless saying that is the answer.

We're going into matches expecting to be battered by all and sundry. when has that ever been a Leeds United trait?

You can clearly see that each time we're conceding these players are getting lowered even further, the facial expressions and body language tell me everything. A demoralized coach, players and fanbase.

Only Brentford have the same points total as us from the last 5 matches = one point.

Scored 5 and conceded 17 over our last 5 matches.

Bees have scored 3 and conceded 9 over those same 5 EPL match period

And before anyone shouts the we've played the top sides mantra:

We've had: Liverpool, Villa and Everton away Scum and Newcastle at home

Bees have had: Citeh and Arsenal away, Wolves, Scum and Palace at home.

We're going down as the bottom side if this continues.

Bielsa must change tack completely and go for a pragmatic, defensive and counter-attacking approach. That's the only way we're gonna stop hemorrhaging goals, start competing and picking up points to generate survival.

If he's not prepared to do this then get him out and get someone in who is.

Stop panicking and have some loyalty and faith in our manager and players (some players).

We are having to manage with too many Championship players atm but he'll get it reet asap, we just need the cavalry back and pray they don't get injured, then we could be doomed.

For a start a change to a different formation and completely ditching 3-3-1-3 when attacking - it results often in 6 players in the final third of the field and leaves us completely open when we lose the ball. And the FBs to not bomb forward all the time - playing like defenders rather than midfielders and wingers.

It is to me too Chilli.

I watched all the match last night, just to witness how bad we are. For the Citeh hammering I switched off at HT, as I was so sickened, but now I'm used to and expecting it. Tbh LiVARpool took their foot off the gas or it could have been ten or more. They have bigger fish to fry, so the job was done and they're looking ahead to bigger scalps and rewards.

The board needs to be sitting down with Bielsa this morning and asking him how he's going to save our EPL status, if he comes out with the usual mumbling gibberish he should be gone.

We need him to change right now and adopt a solid defensive approach with us playing on the counter attack. The time for fancy football is over, we need to sop bleeding goals and gifting points to opponents.

If Bielsa guarantees he'll change and take that pragmatic approach he can stay, if not get someone else in who can set up a defence and play counter-attacking football.

I've had a bellyful of people excusing Bielsa.

Depressing me as well, just getting somewhere like and this hits me, struggled till around 10am this morning all because of football.

But if it's not wise to boot Bielsa now then surely the board should have met with him this morning for him to explain what he plans to change to keep us up?

From all accounts they offered him players, that we desperately need, in January and he turned his nose up.

I believe our only chance of staying up is for MB to adopt a pragmatic approach, as we did in the last 10 matches last season, where we defend as a solid block and play counter-attacking football.

If that doesn't happen we'll be relegated as the rock bottom club.
