There was no bad luck in conceding 20 goals in the last five games...a goal here and there in the last few games would have made no difference. We got two against United and then conceded two more, our goals against United had a fair share of luck in them too, a cross from Rodrigo that flew in and forshaw wiping out fernandes in the build up to the second that could have been given in many games (although wasn't a foul).

This luck rhetoric is absolute nonsense. Us hitting the post is not bad luck, it's a shot that wasn't good enough to in. You forget all the times were were lucky this season - I could go through most games and find it, even in our most recent win against West ham, bowen missed an absolute sitter in the last second...we were extremely fortunate to get the three points there and really it should have only been one. The one place he has been unfortunate is with injuries...but it's also bielsas fault for refusing to get in reinforcements despite us all seeing that they're needed

While a general change in playing style might take a while to be implemented, switching from man marking to zonal marking is a change any professional player should be able to make in a short amount of time. Many players are internationals who will be used to zonal marking rather than man marking or will have played under different managers for a period of their career.

Excellent post dashirons plus people tend to forget that these are professional players used to different managers and systems alike.

The players will need time to switch mentalities.

Training is repetition repetition repetition.
You start of having to think about a new way of doing things until over time and practice motor memory makes tasks easier. This is made harder in a team setup with all its expected moving parts and then is harder still with introducing creative elements.

The internationals arguments is a weak one because while the systems may be similar the players around you are different and the mentality of the side may be different. Plus the opposition players are also coming together from different philosophies and set ups.


So I expect tweaks instead of overhauls.

Phillips signed his last contract when we were in the championship so I would doubt there was a release clause for if we were relegated from the prem. there was a clause for release of a similar figure to what you say but that was in the event we were not promoted in the 19/20 season - what’s your source?

Reality is you're club have done the dirty on the man who got you there in the first place.

I saw Leeds as a club that genuinely wanted to achieve and go places.

But it's clear under current regime this isn't possible.

When he signed his contract with you in championship it was publicly known he had put a clause in contract that if Leeds didn't go up, then he was free to go if release clause was activated,

This also applies if you get relegated along with Raph, as they will be on higher wages.

And the club will have wage reduction clauses in contracts should you get relegated.
