By all accounts it was his assist for Bamford's goal in the behind closed doors game (that may or may not have happened) against Stoke last weekend. I also think he could be the surprise signing of the season, especially also having a point to prove just like Adams.

Big step up, Roca seems to be my choice as first one to do ok.
There will be no excuses for Big Jesse now. I believe he has built the spine of the team to suite his specifications. I just hope he and the new players are given a bit of time. But this is the Premier League. Anything less than a point per game over the first ten matches will put the club in absolute crisis mode. We need to be flirting with mid-table by the half way mark in my opinion.

I like Adams and Roca as a DM Pairing. Both bring good experience from top five leagues. These are not prospects. They should step right into the starting eleven.

Surely they have to better than our stand-in DM's when Phillips was unavailable for much of last season.

Klich, Koch & Forshaw failed to do the job effectively when playing in that role.

I think he's definitely got to hit the ground running Paul, if it's failing i just can't see it getting easier, especially as these players are supposed to know how to play for him, can they adapt to something else? Suppose time will tell.

Both arrive at LUFC with more experience at a higher level than any of those three. I expect a significant upgrade...

You can say that again.

People always look to the back four when we lose heavily. The midfield was a wet tissue screen which had little control on most games.

Our signings surely must be an improvement.

Anyone get Tongeh, Browneh, Paddeh vibes from Marsch and Tyler?

Also I am not one to criticise someone's appearance but the state Victor Orta is in and he goes around Europe trying to sell our club to new players.

Ffs they must wonder why this homeless man has turned up shouting and banging tables.

But to be fair. Klich and Forshaw are both AMF's shoehorned into DMF and Koch is a pure defender.

Apparently you are, I have no problem with the way Orta looks, good for him

Forshaw was never an amf as reflected in his lack of goals and assists in his career.

He was always a dmf (hence why he wears our number 4).

It was Bielsa who decided to use him as a box to box midfielder.

He wasn't that before and doubt he will be after.

Man can't create or score goals.

In his everyday life couldn't care less.

When he is going around Europe meeting players and agents I don't think a tidy up would go amiss.

The fun we have when qualifying in Central America. He is certainly, as he put it, competitive.

[edit] to be clear, this was the "Nations League" not WCQ.

He acknowledged Batty who was well before his time. Shows he knows a bit more than fish, chips, yorkshire pud, and tea.
