Good question.

On balance I would say yes.

He cant get in the ear of the officials as easily for one thing. And his orders are slower to reach the players.
It does depend on how he wields his influence over his team though. The likes of Wenger was a good example he was very vocal during games and his players did respond

There is a correlation between the managers who receive touchline bans and those who are the more able to impose their personally on their side. So them being absent could be a factor.

Perhaps Rod Wallace then, he seemed to score in flurries. Perhaps even Cantona, I think he got a hat trick v Spurs early in the only season he started for us (and had got the hat trick int he charity shield so was in good form).
