They can only match what Radz puts in though.

Don't believe that.
As said before, they have never ever put 1 penny into LUFC as capital.
Only by buying shares.
As said before fundamentally Venture Capital funds only buy shares, they rarely ever invest capital into a business.
The 49ers will do nothing unless Radz sells out.

Re: Leeds Utd v Arsenal Match Thread - Rodrigo starts up front as Sinisterra returns
Thought we were excellent today, second half it looked like we were the team on top of the league. Yet again we ended up losing. One ridiculous pass by Rodrigo, cost us at least a point. It is so frustrating, wave after wave of attacking pressure, lots of chances and half chances created, yet none taken plus a missed penalty. I think we are definately a top eight team playing the way we did, but at the end of the day, it's another loss, and slipping nearer the relagation zone.
Aaronson, Roca, Adams, Harrison and Sinesterra all looking great to me. The back four looking more solid, and Bamford creating panic in the Arsenal defence. Rodrigo is the player for me that needs to be dispensed with. He is into his third season now, we know he can turn in the odd inspired performance, score the odd goal, but gives the ball far too often and does not do enough in my opinion.

49ers were brought in to improve our commercial side imo. They can't do that in the Championship obviously. I think they might have to buy Radz out to keep us up this season. I'm sorry but it's one gamble too many from Radz.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 4:46 pm Don't believe that.

We look like a Top 6 team when we play the Top 6. And like a Bottom 6 team against everyone else.Jimang wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 4:46 pm Thought we were excellent today, second half it looked like we were the team on top of the league. It's frustrating because we are not far off being a really decent team.
As far as I'm concerned all the useless La Liga signings need to be got rid of at the earliest possible opportunity. Rodrigo, Llorente and Firpo cost a fortune in wages and they are a waste of space. I think the club became a bit delusional after promotion and the thought of doing business with top Spanish clubs made some at the club giddy with excitement at the expense of realism and common sense. Some of the fan base likewise.
Regarding Bamford - it's worth remembering that he only had one PL goal to his name when we started our first season back in the PL. And in the promotion season there was that huge pressure to replace him with Nketiah after he went about 12 games without a goal.
In a way with hindsight that unexpected performance by Bamford in the first season back in the PL didn't do the club any favours. It was somehow then automatically assumed that Bamford was now a top class PL striker - despite the fact that throughout his career in any league finishing has been his achilles heel. I fear that if the club carries on with this delusional way of thinking then it will cost the club its PL status come the end of the season. We desperately need an efficient poacher before it's too late. Anyway, it's quite likely that even if Bamford did find some form with his finishing that he might be injured again. It's a big gamble by the club whichever way you look at it - a no 9 should have been a total priority in the summer, even if it was just a loan signing.

Really don't get why you think anything will be better if we are owned by the Venture Capital fund of an NFL franchise ran by an accountant.
Personally rather Radz and the 49ers go.

Everyone forgets the whole season we signed Big Kev, is we were worried Bamford would cost us promotion.

Actually I'd have to agree with kenny, Bamford too clever for his own good on penalties. Which from memory he's been on a few occasions.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 4:54 pm Are you telling him to put his foot through the wall or the cushions?

I just think they'd have more ambition than finishing 17th. I think they'd want to make us one of the bigger sides in the league, starting from improving the commercial side.
My dream would be Bill Adderley. Billionaire Leeds fan. But he's not interested, probably as he doesn't want to spend half his fortune finishing mid table.
Jim Radcliffe still wants an English club.

You wouldn't have seen the best we've played this season without Paddy on the pitch, he made much of attacking play happen,, worked his socks off.
I feel sorry for Bamford who deserved a little bit of luck for his immense effort.

Certainly makes us a better team. You can only hope he continues playing consistently and starts putting them away again like he did before the injuries.

Radcliffe wouldn't surprise me at all given he told The Times 3 years ago he had looked at us and others (specifically they named Manure, Chelsea us and Newcastle).SG90 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:07 pm I just think they'd have more ambition than finishing 17th. Only 1 of those is still possible.
Would Radz and the 49ers try to be to greedy? Possibly.
And Ratcliffe has already said he "won't be the dumb money".

Indeed Andrewandrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 3:39 pm Bamford really changed the game. And on his day, he'd have buried that penalty and scored one or two more. Lets hope he stays fit and builds on today.
