Arrogance. Ayling has hardly played in months. Jesse thought this game was a good opportunity to give Rasmus a rest and get Ayling some game time. Just like Cooper midweek, it backfired.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 2:04 pm He does he gets forward well, most disappointing part of Kristensen imo.
But Willian has always been a class act and is still probably faster than Ayling.
Think Kristensen would handle him better defensively.
Catch22 really, lose the attacking threat but probably defend better?

Just got in from work and watched the highlights. With a defence like ours i'd like to wish the next manager luck. Even the most tactically astute coach will struggle to get a tune out of that lot. Marsch said Bielsa over trained the players and left him with an injury riddled side and yet i'm struggling to see what he did in the month off he had with the players.
We have played all the so called "easy" teams. He's failed and the's the Marsch reality.

Tbh everyone on Thursday was demanding Cooper started today, and Harrison. Both are Championship level at best.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 4:38 pm Arrogance. Hopefully fans stop screaming for him to start over Rasmus now. And please please do not give him a new contract.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 4:35 pm Ayling has been good at this level and should be good enough against Fulham. But he has had very little match time since injury. He can still do a job for us. But with the run we're on, we need to put out our strongest 11, no matter what. He can't afford to be giving Rasmus and Cooper a rest.

Agree. He's shoehorning him into anything but his best position. All our best attacking movement has been Harrison getting wide on the left. He wants Sinisterra there so Harrison gets shoved anywhere else. Sinisterra might like the left but he's looked good on both sides. It's not Harrison's fault. It's Jesse's system?
Do you see Harrison signing that new contract? Do you see us getting the money in January that Newcastle offered 3 months ago?

One thing we miss about Raph is he was a big game player. I don't see any of those now. Just a load of mice who brick it when the pressure's on.

Fortunate enough not to have watched the match (again), so won’t be partaking in the player ratings, man of the match threads etc. So sorry for you WOI fans to come all that way and be treated to another hapless defeat, hope you had a great time anyway despite the result.
After the start that we’ve had Marsch should be gone but as others have said there maybe some internal politics at play that forces the Board’s hand to stick with him for at least one more game.
At the moment, I can only see this season heading one way and that is towards relegation. The players we have are probably not good enough anyway but especially now, with their confidence shot after some terrible results, I can’t see this team improving anytime soon.
I don’t think there are 3 teams worse than us in this league, even Forest beat Liverpool yesterday, so I’m beginning to think that relegation will be the only outcome this season and so that is where I’m setting my expectations to save me from undue misery all the way through till May next year.
So anything other than relegation will be a bonus for me as I’m writing this season off and getting ready to start afresh in the Championship next year.

Re: Leeds Utd v Fulham Match Thread - Six changes for Leeds as Adams misses out
Oh Kinhell, i'm telling you guys you better get on your knees.
I'm not lieing here when i say, at no point was i worried last year about going down, i must admit after Everton 3-0 loss it entered my head for the first time, but for some reason it didn't reet bother me, i obviously didn't want relegation but if it came we had Bert and for some strange reason i wouldn't have been reet arsed.
I'm worried to fcking death right now, coz if it happens and Orta is still here we're going to rack n ruin again for fck knows how many years.
HE HAS TO GO.
, WE CANNOT AFFORD FOR HIM TO FIND US ANOTHER PLAYER AND PLEASE DON'T LET HIM TRY TO FIND US ANOTHER MANAGER.
The atmosphere around the ground was weird, if anyone else was there, did you feel it ? We nearly got Marcelo chants going but were stifled and told to leave it to the away crew that'll do it v Liverpool coz it has more effect.
Sack the board was right at home and all this has to turn on Orta, it's coming for sure, there was a small section near the away end joining in with 'You're getting sacked in the morning' but that was stifled out.
I'm worried, but some light with the WC break coming that could dig us out the shite, coz i don't even think Big Sam could sort us defensively, LC has returned to LC of old and only Bert can transform him, the rest i don't know, Firpo nobody in the world can work with in my eyes that's a given.
If we get many injuries like Bert did we're down 100% and only the WC break might save us with that.
We need to sack Jesse coz it's literally playground footy and something i've never witnessed before, 100mph getting the ball then what? Coz nobody seems to know, it's literally someone, anyone, try and shuffle the ball towards the net and hopefully in it.
In sacking Jesse now we get 4 games before the break, i'd stick the caretaker in for those 4 to try and see if we can play anything else other than this shite, similar to what Villa have done today, the incoming then has some sort of chance with the 6 week break.
But i just can't see it, i think we're fcked.
And i'm deadly serious here, and probably deep down i know it's an impossible dream about him coming back.
But i feel he's the only man, and without that break, i don't even think he'd do it.
So we're going down i'm afraid, and if someone does come in and stops us going down, then he'll be fcking good at summert
Because we are going backwards very fast indeed, that's if we ever went forward, which i don't think we did.

Jesse has to go, we're doomed of he stays 100% certain.
But I also thought we were doomed if MB wasn't sacked.
I don't think you can put all this on the coach though. That's two coaches, with completely different philosophies, tactics and expertise, but both have come up well short over the past two seasons.
There are two constants here, the board and the players.
The board are three twats, I honestly don't know which one I despise the most. Fookin arseholes the three of them. Ruined this club again.
Players wise Jesse has been partially supported with some decent signings. But because of Orta's expensive c**k ups we had to sell our two best players to bring men in this summer. And when they got there the cupboard was bare.
No striker, no left back, no midfield cover. A fookin house built on sand.
But yeah, as much as I stuck up for Jesse in the past, he's proved he's not up to this job.
Bert won't come back cos of the way those three cnuts dispatched him mate.
No idea who we can bring in, but hopefully he can keep us up.
Can we not get that lass whose in charge of England's women's team?
That would be a statement
