Surprised our goals were allowed to stand. :duno: Surely one of our players breathed on Salah and Dick Van Dyke?

Chapel why don't you give it a rest instead of constantly prodding the bear, we say it as we see it at the time, you get my honest opinion of what i'm thinking and my honest opinion of what i'm seeing, i would love to see Jesse get this right but the Prem is a totally unforgiving place, and time is something you don't get much of before you're in the relegation zone as we've just witnessed.

He needs to back this up or it goes to waste.

CHAPELALLMAN wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 9:16 pm Several of those poor results though were caused by poor finishing - notably Bamford's glaring misses. It's hard for a manager to legislate for that. Marsch has been instrumental in some good recent signings, and he should get credit for this. It's the old guard of Bamford, Cooper and Harrison who are holding this side back now - championship standard players in other words.
Exactly Chapel. The Marsch signings have been excellent so far this season.

Don't think he will ever get back to it myself.

Maybe some u21 games but it's hard to remember a striker whose gone through thus sort of thing and recovered?

Even Fernando Torres never did.

VAR are looking into a foul by Sniffer Clarke to see if they can get our goal ruled out

You never know and he's fairly cheap. And it's me that's been his biggest critic but I hate throwing people on the scrap heap and you can tell he's really rusty and lacking in confidence... A spell in the 21's should do the trick, it's loaded with quality

Yes, fair shout to Jesse. I thought he'd lost the plot but him and the players showed up tonight.

But they've gotta follow it up and then get this squad improved in January.
This stood out to me at the final whistle, it was quite comforting to see it, he still has them and that means a lot and speaks a lot.

weasel wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 9:10 pm Like I said it is about making sure this isn't a false dawn. We beat Chelsea then 2 points from 8 matches. We need to back this up with a win v Bournemouth and a good performance against Spurs (win, lose or draw). Like i have mentioned several times the tactics seem to work well against the better teams as they play into our hands more. We were as good today as we were awful against Fulham.

I'm happy to stick with JM if the performances and results improve. One win, even against Liverpool, doesn't erase a lot of mistakes that have been made.
That was down to Bamfraud costing us points missing big chances. He almost did again tonight.
