Everton are a very very good side at home.
It’s not wrong to take a bit of positivity out of the game tonight you know. I certainly hope the lads in the dressing room do. They’re going to need every scrap of confidence going forward

Everton are a very very good side at home.

But we can't just assume we're getting 6 points from those games - because we probably wont. We need wins, yes that means against the greedy 6.

I'd take a point on Sunday absolutely.Jaydog wrote: Yes. I think so.
Already agreed with you re the vital games v Everton & Soton. If we mess up in those we are properly in the shite. But if we get what we need we’ll look back on Manure as a good result. Would you take a point Sunday?

Exactly. Who wouldn’t take 2 points out of the Manure games ffs. Then back it up at Everton & Soton with at least 4 more

Ok.

It's been considered for the last 50 odd years, but i always end up back at Elland Rd.GreennWhite wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 11:09 pm I just am amazed at some peoples negativity after that result. We were/are in a mess going into that game against a team that is playing very well and yet picking up a point away to them is seen as not been good enough. Yes i know we were 2 goals ahead and if we were on a good run of form you could understand being annoyed at letting that slip. Once they scored the first goal it was always going to be a nervous end to the game and yet when they got the second we still managed to hold on.
I have no idea what its going to take for some people to be happy, maybe finding another club to support might be best.

As much as you could pick out individual performances tonight, the most satisfying thing was the attitude throughout. Yes, players were released from that tight formation shite, but they worked their nuts off. That rattled those tramps to the core. McKennie and Adams were powerful in the centre. Haven’t seen that toughness in years in a Leeds team.

We did well.

Rubbish. What did you expect from the 2 Man United games then, exactly?

So we just write off 18 points against the greedy 6 then? So we get 21 points from 11 games? We need to take points from every game if we want to stay up! Why can't we beat them? Brentford beat them 4-0. They aren't unbeatable.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 11:17 pm Rubbish. What did you expect from the 2 Man United games then, exactly?
Be specific, how did you expect the Man United home and away games to pan out, if a point away doesn't please you?
Just the usual unspecified negativity. I didn't notice you predicting 6 points before kick-off, maybe I missed it.

Interested in your thoughts on the shape. I've never claimed to be an expert on tactics. But I saw it as a 4-3-3 behind the ball with two stacked lines of 3. It transitioned into kind of our usual 4-2-3-1 on attack. Except when attacking we often started from wider positions.

I notice you didn't answer the question.SG90 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 11:20 pm So we just write off 18 points against the greedy 6 then? So we get 21 points from 11 games? Usual loser mentality from Leeds fans![]()

I said we shouldn't be afraid of them in the breakfast thread when everyone said we had no chance of any points against them.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 11:28 pm I notice you didn't answer the question.
We're done with deflection now Marsch is away.
Just answer the question. When did you predict 6 points from the 2 Man U games?
Or button it.

I saw a 4-3-3 in the main dropping into a 4-4-2 possibly a 4-5-1, lots of hardwork, not much of a 4-2-3-1, i think most were caught in two minds a lot of the time, especially whether to go mass hunting or not, which is when we seemed to leave a lot of gaping holes, understandable and can't just expect everything to click on an immediate game after only a few days with Skubs, seemed to me most were told to get out and enjoy themselves, but yeah 4-3-3 in the main with the defence holding to a 4 the vast majority of the time.BlackHillsPaul wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 11:23 pm Interested in your thoughts on the shape.
