I’m sure it’s been discussed at length already but just seen the highlights and I can’t for the life of me see what Harrison was trying to do for his own goal

Maybe the Scousers if they had an off day. But now we've changed our style of play, I can't see us getting results against them.

Liverpool and Spurs I'd highlight

We look look miles behind the Brighton's & Fulhams from what i've seen. The just strolled thru us at the back today at times. They had a man over on both wings all game long. They even managed to nick a goal from between Harrisons legs. Today was the first time i had a sinking feeling that we have too many faults to keep us up. Soft goals conceded, midfield not technically good enough and obviously we don't take enough chances. We keep going.

One part of the first half Brighton seemed to have the ball for about 5 mins we couldn't get near them.

I can see us tying Wolves and beating Forest and Palace in our next 4 games. That’s 7 points that would put us on 30 points with 8 games to go. Surely we can salvage a point/game average from those remaining games to get us to 38 with a decent GD as a tiebreaker.

Prolem being we must beat the named 4 teams too. So beating a top 10 team would just compensate for not winning one of the easier - probably must win - games.

I'll take the point against another top ten side. If we go down it certainly won't be because of this match.

Someone said we can't draw our way to safety. It's actually possible that we could. In six of the last ten seasons 35 points were enough. and 12 more draws would get us there. it would be nice to get a couple more wins though.

As long as we are getting at least a point every week I'll stay hopeful.

We've now won fewer games than any other side in the PL this season - just 5. Even Southampton have won 6.

I still think that Rodrigo can swing it in our favour.

If we had sold Harrison in January then we would have had a war chest of 55m to stave off relegation with. We ended up with a 20 year old who rarely scores goals, has never played in the PL, is not good enough to start but who has potential....You've excelled yourself this time Victor.

Just back from the game, and what an odd game that was.

I’ve had to watch Jack’s own goal back, as I’m at the other end of the ground and hadn’t a clue what had happened. I suppose if he hadn’t touched it, they would have scored anyway, but I haven’t a clue what he is trying to do.

I was a bit perplexed by this non pressing stuff at first, but it was quite obvious when, on the odd occasion, we did press Brighton just popped it round us and romped up the pitch. In hindsight, it was good tactics from Gracia.

All in all, a good day out and a point in the bag. I’m still pretty positive we will be watching PL football next season.
