They benefit more than any other team in the PL from small club mentality. They are almost insignificant in terms of stature. When say a Leeds & Forest turn up in numbers and the fans make the noise they do.... It inspires the away/home team probably more than the supported side who are used to that noise. Who does this club think they are, lets show them... kind of thing. 7 wins all season and counting on no one but ourselves.

On top of that i guess its easier to motivate the smallest club into a "us against the world mentality" playing for your futures blah blah.

I had them down along with Southampton. Thankfully Forest have filled that gap.

Similar to Arsenal i would go with pace upfront instead of Bamford or Rod and try and get in behind Liverpool on the transition. We know they will press us high up the pitch when Mes rolls the ball out. Forshaw back in if he's fit for an hour to steady the ship in midfield. He's usually neat and tidy with the ball which would allow Mck & Roca to express themselves a bit more. Whether he's got the legs is another thing.

Whilst I can see what you are trying to achieve - That line up would just hand any home initiative we have to the scousers. Forshaw is just like Roca with the ball - mostly sideways and backwards. We would struggle to mount ant sustained pressure IMO.

However, I agree that Gnonto should start, up front if we are playing 442 and I would play him off Bamford. Simply because he knows how to create space for others.
