What I really find hard to understand is how many on here point to one moment a player has in a game and seem happy with it.
Take Rodrigo yesterday, a great finish.
What about the poor touch he had in the opening minutes and the one on one he badly fluffed (albeit offside)
Not sure what else he did.
Over 90 minutes one moment is simply not good enough.
For me this epitomizes our total lack of quality at this level.
Thought West Ham had a tough game 3 days before this?

They did but when your cretin of a manager sits back and lets them play with 8 defenders on the pitch West Ham didn't need to work hard

End of the day as a striker if you were to score every game you'd have had a fantastic season. Who knows what might have been if a former manager hadn't needlessly got him injured by bringing him on in a cup match we had got sewn up. Who knows what might have been if instead one of the young strikers came on and grabbed a couple of goals and basically declared himself good enough for the first team, like Davide Somma did when he started banging them in from the bench.

He scored and that was about it. Other than that he contributes very little and goes missing in most games. He's fragile, easily injured and another player we overpaid for. I would have liked us to sign that lad from Coventry Gyokeres, he's a strong player and a real grafter. Instead, we have a load of lightweights leading our attack.

I'm with you Phil. His best days are behind him and if we can recoup some dosh...more the merrier. He's had 1 good season out of three and who knows even Rutter may end up with a better record......

24 of those 87 appearances off the bench.

Probably won't get much for him. No longer an international. One year left on contract. Relegated team. At least he'll be one of the higher earners off the books

That says it all. Probably the games he started on the bench were when not fully fit, coming back from injury.
