I’m not sure I care what they do tbh.
I’d probably do the same if someone else was paying and I was a mega rich footballer

Making something out of nothing and saying people are not happy with that decision is just pathetic and causes unnecessary bad rumours. Its like they want to cause trouble for the club
How long have you supported Leeds GW? Genuine question

Same here. First live game was 1970. So we've both seen many ups and downs over the years. I just feel rattled at the moment. So much hard work to get us into the Premier League after 16 long years for us now to be in another relegation fight. Ownership, recruitment, some players attitude just doesn't seem right to me. I know, we've been here before but it doesn't mean it should happen again.

Thanks for answering by the way.

50s/60s seems to be the general age group on here.

My first game was early 80's against Liverpool. It was the season before we went down, I think.

I should be impervious to relegation by now. But it sucks any time. The first time it didn't matter because I was only 10. But it did mean there was no telly coverage except for the goals on the late night news.

Same here after I moved to the States. Got to ride the high of the O'Leary years. Leeds were all the buzz. Then we got relegated and no TV coverage. My following of Leeds was just checking the scores online. Championship has decent TV coverage now. But getting relegated would really suck again.

In terms of profile, support, global, we're one of the big clubs. After 3 years in the PL, we should have found stability. We should be among those teams pushing for the Europa spots. The club has everything it needs to make that happen - except for the right people in the decision making seats. There's absolutely no excuse for a club of our stature to be in the position it is. Other than incompetence. Everton can say the same - and it's just incompetence with them too.

The recruitment was poor in our 2nd PL season. Bielsa was on record as saying he couldn't keep going with the same plan with the same players for that long. But there wasn't any major attempt to refresh things. Marsch was a terrible appointment. One of Orta's "projects." A proven manager - like Javi Gracia - would have had us mid-table all season long.

Since the Premiership was introduced the one thing that was said at the end of every season was that you cant afford to stand still in the following season. We basically did that. You cant just keep the same squad that got you up. Its not always nice but you have to let some players go that you grow fond of and improve the squad year after year.
Its been a bad season to date and i get the fact people get annoyed and pissed off with things but what grates me is people having a go at individuals, whether that's managers, players or board members and making it sound like its only that particular individual that is causing all the crap. Our failures since we came up have been a collective failure and not individual.
We got ourselves into the ideal place by being promoted and screwed it up. Bitching about past mistakes means Jack S**t, we have to hope we now get lucky and survive this season, buts that's going to be very difficult but not out of the question.
What is more concerning for me now is what happens if we stay up or go down. Who is going to make the right decisions and learn from the mistakes of the past couple of seasons.
I cant wait for the end of the season, regardless if we stay up or go down, its been anything but enjoyable.

At half time vs Crystal Palace we were 12th on 32 points with the best goal difference in the bottom 9.

5 points above Forest in 18th

Above Wolves, West Ham, Palace and Bournemouth.

What ever happened that day we may never know but surely something did?

The collapse has been dramatic.

Very unlikely that we will know.
At that point there were nine teams very close to one another, so the snapshot is to an extent a false impression.
However from there, Easter Sunday, it was always going to be a case of who went on the worst run without a win.
Southampton, Leeds & Leicester have all the worst form.

Agreed, whatever happened at HT in the dressing room had such an effect that we came out a different team... and it's that team that's been playing ever since. I do think Alladyce is compounding that error every minute he's here

There's an irony here, maybe Orta was right and we should have stuck with Marsch, he may have been guided in his knowledge he was wrong to fire Bielsa....

We will never know I'm sure but there has been talks of cliques in the dressing room and I wonder if there was a big bust up?

Will never know properly I assume but it's far to dramatic a drop for it to be nothing surely?

Not sure Sam criticising the players quality and depth and throwing Rutter under the bus is helpful in the situation we are in (whether you agree with him or not)

But it does feel a bit like him protecting his reputation (after saying just weeks before he could do a better job).

Oh no Orta sticking by Marsch aslong as he did has been the main issue (aside from hiring him). No credit to Orta at all.

Aside from that I'm absolutely convinced Marsch had lost the dressing room

No players thanked him and in fact quite a few have taken digs at him (Ayling and Bamford come to mind) as has Rene Maric who was Assistant

The drop off was so dramatic that I can't believe nothing happened.

We went from 12th and with 9th best goal difference to being 19th with the 3rd worst difference and staggeringly minus 1 point down on where we were 7.5 games ago.

Hmm, so three managers in 2 years have “lost the dressing room”. Perhaps we have a dressing room that needs to get lost?

I was speaking to a mate of mine the other day, who is a Forest fan, and was saying that in that match it basically looked like we were going to be comfortably safe from relegation. Cruising and playing with confidence. Amazing how 1 half of football destroyed the season.

I couldn't believe what I was witnessing in the second half of that game.
Everything since, apart from the Newcastle performance, has been thoroughly depressing.
Three away games, Southampton, Manure and Spurs, where we had a lead well into the second half but only ended up with two points are one of a number of reasons why we are almost certainly getting relegated on Sunday.
