To be honest what we need is a steady 'average' keeper. Someone who is simply reliable, does't have to be brilliant just do the routine stuff well.

A Very good signing for me, we need a strong presence in goal and meslier was never convincing in that regard

Routine like booting it up to the centre circle to restart the game

To be honest, for anyone to give us that for him they would have to be blind or never have seen him play

My old football coach used to say if our keeper gets man of the match, something has gone very wrong. The keeper should never get man of the match, if he does it means he’s had to make loads of saves.

A steady Eddie keeper is more than enough, personally I think we have one.

Good signing for me. We've needed an experienced, English goalkeeper for a while now. And he has promotion experience and played for Newcastle, so will be able to handle the pressure. Hopefully we can get about £20m for Meslier. If Trafford was £19m from only playing in League One, then we should definitely be able to get £20-25m, but knowing Leeds we'll buckle on the cheap.

Two very good signings so far.

What a pity the takeover didn’t happen earlier.

2 decent buys.

Need a striker, surely we can't rely on PB again...

Piroe would be good but other clubs are after him.

If only some of our negative fans realised that fact.

New members on the board, coaching/club staff, signing players, all takes time.

Being concerned by what is obviously a squad lacking in quality and depth with time running out till the new season isn't negative . . .

Even Farke has voiced the same concerns?

Is he negative?

Besides as mentioned elsewhere when you have the new owners feeding words like "ambitious" and "aggressive" it naturally builds expectations and hope

So from those words to this they don't match up at all so far do they.

Exactly. We also have the fact that until we see who leaves we don't know to some extent what we need. We clearly needed a midfielder and we have got one. We fairly much needed a keeper even if Messlier stays and we have got one. After that it is a case of having to spend whatever money we have wisely. If we at present say have a budget of £10m then there is no point spending £10m on a striker if Farke feels he has enough with Bamford, Rutter and Joesph and he (Farke) would rather spend it on another defender.

We have saleable assets but we are still in the position of not knowing if we can sell them. Messlier may go out on loan, same with Tyler, who knows who else has a loan clause. We may not bring in another penny in sales. It appears the loan fee we got for Wober funded the signing of Darlow, and likely the wages saved on Wober have gone straight towards paying Darlow's wages. Ampadu likely bought from the funds we got for selling Rodrigo and any loan fees we received.

True

But Farke himself has reiterated the need for many signings

So it isn't like fans being irrational

The manager clearly agrees

I believe Farke`s comments about more new signings is just him making sure his message gets across to those with the money. He knew what he was letting himself in for or he wouldnt have agreed to come here.
Just because he mentioned that topic i dont for one minute think the whole club is still in a shambles, as some keep trying to make it sound like it is.
We have gone from being very good to very bad in a short space of time getting back to being even decent wont happen over night, we just have to accept that and try not to get over negative about the bad stuff that will definitely come along in the coming months, it wont all be plain sailing.

Spending money doesn't automatically equal better players. We may have better ones right under our nose anyway.
