But, unlike White, he'll be nearly 27 by the time he "goes back" I'd imagine he'd be easier to buy considering that

Ipswich (a)

Good
6 defensive headers
6 defensive clearances
4 interceptions
3 ball recoveries
3 blocks
2 decent passes
2 tackles

Bad
1 poor pass
1 own goal (difficult to blame Joe as he didn't know no one was behind & unlikely he got a call from Pascal)

Won virtually everything that came into the box

8/10

Also thought Rodon was excellent especially his aerial dominance but he was almost exclusively to blame for their second. He’s half asleep and should clear easily. Put off by Mes maybe, Christ knows why he was out there.

Agree, if he continues to shine I fully expect DF to want him permanently .

I still can't blame him, the pass back was suicidal, Rodon was caught flat-footed as he didn't expect a pass as weak as p*ss back into the danger zone.

Looking at that goal again i think 4 Leeds players were to blame. Drameh, Rodon, Mes and Struijk.

In the very last seconds of added on time Drameh should never have been going back towards his own goal. It should have been hoofed up field, he had time to do that. Maybe him being right footed was the reason he turned back to goal.
Mes was more at fault than Rodon as Rodon was always going to get to the ball before him, he didn't need to come racing out of his goal that far. Maybe bad communication between the 2 as its very early doors for them. But Rodon should have taken control of the situation.
And Struijk was too slow at picking up the Ipswich player that scored. When the other Ipswich player has the ball on the goal line and pulls it back, they had only 1 player on Struijk`s side that was going into the box, we had 3 defenders plus Mes and yet didnt pick up the Ipswich player.
Very poor and sloppy all round defending, and not down to one individual.

An utter mess!

Wouldn't have happened had Cody leathered the ball into touch or in the stands, especially with seconds to go, thing is the players can see the clock winding under the new rules.

Drameh’s first touch caused the problem. Just one of those things where player takes his eye of the ball. He then either had to use his left or put it out. He swivelled on the ball and played the back pass.

Rodon should have cleared it. He did have time, heard it said many times if in doubt just clear it. I am not convinced Mes gave a shout but Rodon would have been aware of his presence. It was a typical Leedsy defensive calamity.

But from the player who stole in and nicked the ball still had to pick out a player. That good old cut back seems to kill us every time. They only had one player in the box, we had three.

Inexplicable how we conceded when you look at the whole of that scenario.

Rodon is in the perfect position. He has an Ipswich player behind him and is looking directly towards Drameh. As soon as the back pass is played he has an age to cut it out but is put off by Mes who should be nowhere near it. The initial mistake is from Drameh but Rodon should clear it up without breaking sweat.
Hey ho it all ended up ok in the end.

Yep .
It was almost Llorentesque on the Gaffeometer.

Imagine the stick Ayling would have received on here, had he played a suicide back pass?

Drameh seems to come out of this not as culpable as those around him.

Early days for the kid. I think he lacks bottle, time will tell. That ball the other day for me as a defender you deal with the problem not stand back and hope someone else does. He needs to take control and be dominant but i'm just not sensing that control at the minute, early days tho.

Drameh first and foremost for not looking and under hitting the pass.
Rodon knew the pass wasn’t for him that’s why he shielded it but should have anticipated Mes not getting there and dealt with it.

The defence, including Mes, are encouraged to keep possession and the defence regularly pass back to him and he in turn patrols the edge of the area more than previously so this type of thing will happen again but hopefully we’ll get away with it.

The trouble is he isn't. The Ipswich player is behind him so although he likely knows he is there he doesn't know exactly where he is or if he is going to get to the ball before Messlier. For me there Messlier needs to shout away. Instead there seems to be no indication from Messlier that he isn't going to get to the ball first, even if Messlier hasn't shouted that it is his ball the way he is coming out suggests he thinks it is.

For me the blame is on Drameh and Messlier. Drameh's pass is extremely sloppy, he had options to clear but didn't and instead played a pass that was not near enough to either. After that the blame lies on Messlier, he either has to shout 'away' so Rodon knows he has to get to it, or shout that it is 'mine' and then get to it. I don't know if Messlier shoute d it was his but I am convicned by Rodon's reaction that Messlier didn't shout 'away' os something similar.

It was just a calamity - there were many moving parts to that situation and each played a part in what transpired.

I want to see Drameh again. Hopefully he will get a run out against Salford.

Indeed, but clear your lines, then there is no pressure or fault inflicted on those around him.

As I posted earlier, Ayling commits a similar pass & there would be no defending Luke, this forum would have gone into meltdown.

Still think our knackered, 33yo stalwart has more to offer than Drameh, as does every LUFC coach.

Has to start tonight, this is a chance to prove himself for Leeds against a League 2 side.
