Df got 8 players in in a matter of days, some Buffoons wanted 28, similar to Chelsea i think 8-)
Stop talking cobblers nobody wanted 28 players the fact is we are reliant on certain players to be constantly playing every week if they are not we are replacing them with either players of inferior ability or players who do not play in that position
The old square pegs in round holes routine the same scenario we had under bielsa and we all know how that turned out 😁

Kennyb41 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 5:26 pm Not to me, in fact i'll go so far to say he could potentially keep him out when fit again with the only thing being the age issue and DF probably wanting PS back in.

Depends where the hernia is and the size, it shouldn't keep him out for that long.

Time for LC to step up and show the form he did for Bert, which was better than PS, now whether he is at the peak fitness Bert got him is another matter, but after watching from the bench for so long he knows he's second choice now and as such should be raring to go, and as Captain he should know from experience to set an example and FCKING QUIT WITH THE DUMB PULLING OF SHIRTS MALARKEY.

With him probably being nowhere near as fit, 3 years older and cold which makes him prone to mistakes, yes that's a concern, but i'd still be reluctant to play Hjelde, DF should know, being pretty decent at passing the ball should be his strength, get it won, get shut, and move up.

We might get the odd goal from him too.
I don’t share your confidence in Cooper tbh but sods law says he’ll be awesome and give DF a headache although I’m struggling to forget the last time when he left Rodon out.
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

It's not just the case of because it's cooper, it's because we have un untried CC who is right footed, as I've said many times, I believe we may bring in a CH in January because we are threadbare, and that was said long before the news of Pascals hernia, of course I may be wrong, we may just plod on as usual in the vain hope we'll simply get by on a wing and a prayer, rest on our laurels as usual and learn absolutlely nothing.
We could coast past Plymouth, but 2 left sided CBs is asking for trouble as has proved in the past, just saying.

LC's older, i'm not mega confident and wish it weren't happening tbh. I'm hoping he uses his fecking noggin and EXPERIENCE.

It is what it is, we just need to eek out the last ounces of breathe from these aged and replace asap, i'm sure DF and others are on it.

What he got handed is the same mish mash of the clowns shite yoof system and our OAP's.

Pre season we had - Pascal - Cooper - Llorente - Koch - Cresswell - Hjelde - Ayling that had all played CH for us.

That's 7 players for 2 places that DF had never seen in training or worked with, what do we do to find out ?

Cooper is one of the most injury prone players at the club along with bamford we probably wouldn't get the games out of him anyway if struck is out for any length of time or he could get sent off
Cooper thinks tugging shirts is part of his defensive duties 😁

Soton blitzed us, having to move PS over to the right was a gamble that failed and Cooper looked like a guy that had been out for a while

I think he learned his mistake.

LC SHOULD, i say, SHOULD, have the experience and knowledge from Bert to know what's required in DF's style of play and to cover for whatever's required.

I'm concerned with how quickly he'll be into his stride (but this isn't the Prem), his age, but mainly his fitness.

All them things cause him to be clumsy, which he doesn't need any help with at all lol.

Llorent & Koch fucked off and Ayling isn't a CH, so that leaves 4, one got shipped out on loan, that leaves 3, CC can't get a look in , that leaves 2, Pascal is injured, you do the math.

Think I' d consider playing Ampadu @ CB. Archie and Kamara in MF and see how that goes.
If it doesn't start off too well (can't see why it shouldn't) it could be changed.
Got no confidence in LC. at all.

Now there's an option, i'd forgot about that.

I think he'll try LC first though.

I'd like to see the team kept as settled as possible now he's only just got it something like right.

Moving Gray Amps and LC intro is a bit too much i'd imagine.

No, he didn't but, it just shows how we don't plan for the future, CC hasn't had any minutes for one reason or another, we've allowed Hjielde to go out on loan, leaving us threadbare in case of emergencies, and guess what !!
As I say, hopefully we've already got someone in line for January in more than one position, I think DF is a little more astute than the last 4 managers, it's down to the owners now, but we simply cannot wait until summer whether we go up or not, we have to look to the future, this project cannot stall at the first attempt, otherwise it'll set us back another 10 years.

Someone seems to be crying out for attention, again

And with it 'blatantly' being for me ( tut tut) H'mmm :duno: I'm left wondering (i'm not, i 100% know) did Bert leave any lasting effect on ..

Ayling, Shackleton, Pascal, Cooper in what he required defensively from them, they'd be feckin idiots if they didn't.

Rodon, Spence, eBygum, Ampadu, Gruev have been astutely brought in.

Hey, there's another potential thought Madron - Gruev ?

I don't hate that idea at all, Madron. In fact, it fills me with a eerie sense of calm, especially given the cold sweat I broke out in when I learned PS would be out.

So Llorente and Koch have to go out on loan - Nowt DF knew or indeed could probably do owt about, a mess from the clown.

He looks at CC Pascal and Hjelde, whom he'd know nowt about and feels only Pascal good enough for himself to step up.

He looks at Cooper and retains or he'll have fck all to work with if he doesn't stop.

Then in a matter of 'urgent' days manages to get Rodon - Spence - Byram and Ampadu, how many more did you want ?

Are you aware the window is currently closed ?

It wouldn't surprise me if DF is actually working on Gruev playing there this week in training if he was aware of PS's problem.

Now that would be worth watching if it happened.

Wouldn't be so confident with Gruev yet ,not seen enough of him. Archie and Kamara just keeps more of a continuation.
Shacks @ RB should be fine
