Brilliant signing!

To think, some fans wanted Kalvin Phillips back.

This is a massive upgrade.

Yes that could be the slight fly in the ointment. I really hope Farke doesn’t have Harrison down as a set piece specialist

I hope he's not signing these 'Jolly Greens' to protect Meslier :duno:

Stach by name, stack by nature - at 6ft 4ins tall, Leeds United's latest signing is certainly a big presence on a football field.

Predominantly a defensive midfielder, Anton Stach has been deployed as a centre-back, as well as in more advanced midfield roles in his career.

The 26-year-old has 122 Bundesliga appearances to his name since his debut in the competition with Mainz back in 2021-22, scoring five goals and providing 16 assists in that time.

Stach has two caps for Germany, though he hasn't appeared for his national side since a Nations League victory against Italy in June 2022.

Last season, the midfielder played six matches in Hoffenheim's 2024-25 Europa League campaign and found the net in a 3-2 defeat by Tottenham.

Leeds United's new signing Anton Stach, speaking to the club website: “First of all, I am feeling really good. I am excited to join such a good team, such a good Premier League team, and I am looking forward to the next season.

“My style of play, I would say I am an aggressive player. I am good in duels. I am good at anticipating passes from the opponents and it would be good for the Premier League. Now we will see, I will try my best!

“The biggest target is to stay in the league and personally just develop, adapt to the league, to the speed of course and then get many good experiences hopefully.

“I am really excited to play at home with the fans because I think the fans are really good here and as well away.

“I want to feel the atmosphere because I heard and I saw so many videos of the fans, the promotion [parade] last year over 150,000 people in the city.

“I think that is awesome. That is crazy when the team has a connection to the city. And I think then when you have fans like this, the fans get you some points as well in the league.”

It’s sounding more and more that the promotion parade is a major selling point for these incoming players. Well done the people of Leeds. First among equals.

He’ll need to manage his aggressive side in the Premiership or as we seen with the Scum players falling over in the slightest breeze he’ll spend a good part of the season suspended. Love all the comments about the fans, the city, the promotion parade and the atmosphere he’s seen, hopefully our other targets have watched the same footage.

Comfortably the best signing so far, imo.
