Gives us another option and I’m sure there will be times throughout the season when we are glad he is here but it does seem like another squad type signing to add to the pile - we badly need at least one quality starting player.

I think he's back up for both. But could see the possibility of him replacing one of them further down the line. Good competition.

I'm a fan of the signing. Just what we need. But 10m seemed excessive to me too. Remains to be seen. Hopefully he'll outperform that value.

Seeing reports it's £8M with £2M in add-ons.

It seems a lot, however, we need decent back-up.

Given time, Justin may displace Bogle or Gudmundsson, he has Premier League experience.

Valued at €13m on Transfermarkt. Regular starter for Leicester last year in the Premier League. Worn the captains armband this season. As will all our recent signings, just his injury record that is of conern, but had a fairly clear last two seasons.

I often see Trandfermarkt low balling on values. So I'm guessing that makes him worth about 20 million.

Wasn't he in a contract year? That's the only reason I was expecting the fee to be less.

Like a player that really commits  more of a go-big-or-go-home" kind of injury record compared to Okafor's

But again, does Trandfermarkt lowball or do certain clubs and leagues pay more than market value.

When it comes to the Premier League the amounts of money splashing around are often nonsensical. Ironically I don't think PSR helps as the big clubs trade youth players with each other for silly money just to balance their PSR.

Had a couple of big tears/ruptures but he's generally not constantly picking up injuries. Two clear years from both of those big injurues is a good sign too.

8 million for a player with Premier League experience to cover both right and left back slots seems a fair price to me 👍

I have seen a Leicester channel and they are happy to see him go and think Leeds are paying a great price here .ie in that he isn't really that good , one of the fans says not up to PL standard plus injury prone so this might be a bit worrying. I guess back up is needed squad wise but overall going by the Leicester fans not sure on this one .

I was happy along the lines of £4-5m, and that was just going off the Leicester forum.
They comment about his recent injuries and some would 'drive him to Leeds for around £9m ish, some think 5m is good considering.
I agree BB 10m seems way too much for back-up considering Bogle was 5m, it surprises me our team paying that unless it's because we're getting close to the end which even so i think they could buy better with potential for under 8m.
It wouldn't trouble me a lot, because i suppose we're getting decent cover for left and right.

Glad we are about to get him but do feel £8m + £2m add on is a little steep but do not know what the is needed to pay the £2m add on
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

Perhaps, he will, as Marie says have more of an involvement than we think. I can’t see it myself though, Bogle and Gudmundsson seem to have nailed down those places, so Justin and the likes of Byram will just have to bide their time and play in the cup games.

One thing is for sure now, Schmidt is definitely out of the door (although we already pretty much knew that anyway).

Yeah there's a lot in that as that particular position now is very demanding, so rotation could be the thinking

Feel like Justin and Byram will be handled completely differently. Byram - due to his injury record - is happy to be a part time player. Probably has a huge role on the training ground. Happy to fill in minutes or start a game as/when called upon.

Justin will expect to start. There's going to be some healthy competition there. Bogle has had 2 good games. Gudmundson has had 1 good game. Justin will be challenging both of them.

I would pay no attention to grumpy Leicester fans on their forum. Lots of fans say the same things about some of their players when they leave. We can judge him properly once we see him play, when or what position is anyones guess.
Lets not write him off just yet based on grumps fans.

Yeah, he's been there for 10 years, if he wasn't up to much you'd have thought they'd have worked it out before now. :)

Looks like a versatile player.

£10M is about right too.

Anyone reckon we will get any more?

I think that is our lot
